Microwave vacuum drying oven is a basic instrument used in laboratories for drying or curing various substances. It has the characteristics of fast drying speed, uniform temperature, and protection of samples from oxidation, deterioration, decomposition, etc. When using a microwave vacuum drying oven, it is necessary to pay attention to the operating procedures and maintenance to ensure the normal operation of the instrument and extend its service life. Today, the editor will take you to understand the operating procedures of microwave vacuum drying oven.
1、 Preparation before operation
Before using a microwave vacuum drying oven, the following preparations need to be made:
1. Check if there are any substances that should not be present in the drying oven, such as corrosive substances, flammable substances, etc;
2. Clean the inside of the drying oven and use a clean soft cloth to wipe the inner walls and accessories of the oven;
3. Check if the dust windows are clean;
4. Prepare the required dry samples.
2、 Operation steps
Follow the steps below to operate the microwave vacuum drying oven:
1. Place the dried sample in the laboratory tray or glass bowl inside the drying oven;
2. Close the drying oven door and open the vacuum pump valve;
3. Turn on the power switch of the drying oven controller, set the drying time, temperature, and vacuum degree;
4. Start the drying oven and the sample begins to dry;
5. After drying is completed, turn off the drying oven, turn off the power switch of the controller, and close the vacuum pump valve.
3、 Precautions
When using a microwave vacuum drying oven, the following precautions should be taken:
1. When drying, try not to use temperatures higher than the required temperature to avoid excessive drying and denaturation of the sample;
2. The selection of drying time and temperature needs to be determined based on the properties of the sample and the drying requirements, in order to avoid incomplete or excessive drying;
3. When opening the vacuum pump valve, attention should be paid to safety protection to prevent accidents where oxygen is drawn into the vacuum pump and explodes;
4. After using the drying oven, it is necessary to turn it off in a timely manner and clean the inside of the drying oven.
