What are the precautions for using a floating aerator?
Date: 2025-12-27Read: 8
Floating aerators are widely used in fields such as river treatment, sewage treatment, and aquaculture due to their efficient oxygenation and flexible installation characteristics. To ensure the safe operation of the equipment, extend its service life, and optimize the processing effect, operators must strictly follow the following usage precautions:
1、 Installation and fixing points
Correct installation processDuring installation, place the aerator and float as a whole into the water and drag them to the designated area with a steel wire rope. Three steel wire ropes are fixed to the edge of the pool or anchor points from different directions to ensure stable suspension of the equipment and avoid displacement caused by water flow impact.
Avoid basic dependenciesThis device is suitable for soft foundation environments such as oxidation ponds and scenic lakes, and does not require hardening of the pool bottom. However, it is necessary to prevent the float from directly contacting silt or floating sand to avoid vibration and sinking. Suggest using a larger base plate or suspension for fixation.
Safe liftingWhen transporting or hanging equipment, it is strictly prohibited to use cables to withstand force. Special lifting rings or chain hooks should be used to prevent cable damage or leakage risks.
2、 Operation and operation standards
Pre startup inspectionBefore powering on, it is necessary to confirm that the power connection is firm, the motor insulation performance is good, and check whether the impeller rotation direction is correct. Wrong steering can reduce efficiency and damage the motor.
Adjustment of operating parametersDynamically adjust the operating time and power based on water quality (such as pollutant concentration and temperature) to avoid energy waste or insufficient dissolved oxygen caused by excessive aeration. For example, in eutrophic water bodies, the operating time can be appropriately increased.
environmental adaptabilityThe equipment can operate continuously in low temperature environments (such as below 0 ° C), but the sealing of the float needs to be checked regularly to prevent buoyancy from being affected by icing.
3、 Maintenance and upkeep requirements
regular cleanupTimely remove debris (such as algae and floating objects) around the air inlet and impeller to prevent blockages that may affect airflow and mixing efficiency. It is recommended to run the device for at least 4 hours every half month to verify its functionality.
Professional maintenanceDuring maintenance, first turn off the power and drag the equipment to the shore to be lifted out of the water. The wear of seals may cause lubricant leakage, which needs to be replaced by professionals to avoid motor burnout.
Long term suspension managementIf the equipment is idle, it should be lifted and placed in a dry place for backup. It should not be soaked in water for a long time to prevent component corrosion.
4、 Safety and risk prevention and control
Anti leakage measuresRegularly inspect cables and joints to ensure no damage or aging, especially in humid environments where insulation monitoring needs to be strengthened.
Operation taboosPersonnel are prohibited from entering the water during operation, and equipment must not be moved without cutting off the power supply to prevent electric shock or mechanical injury.
Avoid water inletThe installation location should be far away from the direct sewage inlet to avoid debris from impacting the equipment with the water flow and affecting normal operation.
The efficient operation of a floating aerator relies on standardized installation, operation, and maintenance. By following the above precautions, equipment reliability can be significantly improved, failure rates can be reduced, and continuous and stable oxygenation support can be provided for water treatment. Regular training of operators and establishment of maintenance records are key to ensuring long-term performance.
