Introduction to the Working Principle and Application of Molecular Hybridization Furnace
Date: 2025-03-26Read: 5
Molecular hybridization furnace is an ideal equipment for modern laboratories to adopt hybridization technology, which can replace plastic hybridization bags and water bath shaker and avoid pollution hazards caused by damage. This machine adopts microchip control and hot air convection technology to provide emergency temperature control and a constant temperature environment. Design of air circulation device in the furnace, with fast and uniform heating speed. This makes it an ideal hybridization system for Northern and Southern hybridization experiments. It also has a shaking base at the bottom, which can be used for other strict incubation experiments such as placing hybridization bags.
The working principle of the molecular hybridization furnace is based on the denaturation and renaturation principles of nucleic acid molecules. The basic principle is to control temperature and other conditions to form hybrid double stranded molecules by complementary base relationships between DNA (or RNA) fragments from different sources. This hybridization reaction is specific and strictly follows the principle of base complementarity. It can occur not only between DNA, but also between RNA and DNA.
The application fields of molecular hybridization furnaces are very wide, mainly including the following aspects:
Genetic diagnosis: detecting the presence or absence of target gene sequences through hybridization reactions between specific nucleic acid probes and genomic DNA.
Disease diagnosis: For example, rapid detection of pathogens can be achieved by hybridizing the amplified product of PCR with specific probes.
Screening of cloned genes: used to screen specific gene sequences.
• Production of enzyme digestion maps: Used to create enzyme digestion maps for genomes.
Qualitative and quantitative detection of specific gene sequences in the genome: used to accurately detect the expression levels of specific genes.
Clinical diagnosis: plays an important role in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
