The common problems and solutions of box filter press are as follows:
1、 Water seepage between filter plates
1. Reason
Insufficient hydraulic pressure leads to insufficient pressure on the filter plate.
The filter cloth is wrinkled, damaged, or has foreign objects attached to the sealing surface.
2. Solution method
Adjust the hydraulic system pressure to the set value.
Replace the damaged filter cloth and clean the residue on the sealing surface.
2、 Filter cloth blockage
1. Reason
The material viscosity is too high or contains sharp particles.
Improper selection of filter cloth or incomplete cleaning.
2. Solution method
Optimize material concentration (recommended ≥ 500g/L) and add diluent.
Chemical cleaning: Soak acidic residues in weak alkaline solution, and treat alkaline residues with weak acidic solution.
Replace corrosion-resistant, high-precision filter cloth (such as polyester/nylon material).
3、 Hydraulic system malfunction
1. Not maintaining pressure
• Reason: Wear of oil cylinder sealing ring, malfunction of solenoid valve, or leakage of oil circuit.
Solution: Replace the sealing ring/solenoid valve and tighten the oil pipe joint.
2. Compression without response
Reason: Insufficient/deteriorated hydraulic oil, damaged oil pump, or malfunctioning limit device.
Solution: Supplement/replace hydraulic oil No. 46, inspect the oil pump, and calibrate the limiter.
4、 Abnormal formation of filter cake
1. Phenomenon: Loose or unable to form filter cake
2. Reasons and Countermeasures
Low feed concentration: Increase the concentration or prolong the filtration time.
Filter cloth with loose threads/excessive stitches: Re sew or replace the filter cloth.
• Exit blockage: Clean the drainage channel.
5、 The device cannot be released after being tightened
1. Reason
The filter plate adheres to the material, and the guide rod accumulates oil stains.
The hydraulic system is mixed with air or the transmission components are stuck.
2. Solution method
Remove residual material from the filter plate and lubricate the guide rod with butter.
Drain the hydraulic system air and inspect the transmission chain/bearings.
