Operating conditions for filter integrity tester
Date: 2025-08-14Read: 12
The operating conditions of the filter integrity tester need to be adjusted according to specific models and testing principles (such as bubble point method, diffusion flow method, water intrusion method, etc.). The following are general operating condition requirements and key precautions:
1. General operating conditions for filter integrity tester
(1) Environmental conditions
Temperature: It is usually recommended to operate in an environment of 15-25 ℃ to avoid high or low temperatures affecting testing accuracy or equipment performance.
Humidity: Keep dry to avoid high humidity causing equipment to become damp or test results to deviate.
Cleanliness: The testing environment should be clean to prevent dust or impurities from entering the filter or instrument.
(2) Power supply and air pressure
Power supply: Ensure stable power supply and voltage meets equipment requirements.
Gas source: If gas is used, it is necessary to ensure stable gas source pressure.
(3) Test medium
Liquid selection: The commonly used wetting solution is a non corrosive liquid that is compatible with the filter material.
Temperature control: The temperature of the test solution should be consistent with the ambient temperature to avoid testing errors caused by temperature differences.
2. Precautions for operating the filter integrity tester
(1) Filter preprocessing:
The new filter needs to be pre wetted to avoid testing errors caused by drying.
Used filters need to be thoroughly cleaned and dried before testing.
(2) Equipment calibration:
Regularly calibrate key components such as pressure sensors and flow sensors to ensure data accuracy.
Use standard filters for validation.
(3) Safety measures:
Avoid overpressure operation to prevent damage to the filter membrane or equipment failure.
After testing, promptly drain any residual liquid or gas from the system.
