How to maintain and upkeep the security checkpoint?
Date: 2025-03-18Read: 3
The security checkpoint has excellent wind and vibration prevention functions both domestically and internationally, which can avoid false alarms caused by vibration or shaking. Set the working signal, power, and install multiple detection gates for grid connection to work together without interfering with each other.
The maintenance and upkeep methods of security gates mainly include the following aspects:
1. Surface cleaning: Regularly wipe the surface of the security door with a clean, soft, damp cloth to remove dust, stains, fingerprints, etc. Avoid using cleaning agents containing abrasives, acidic or alkaline components to prevent damage to the surface coating. For stubborn stains, a small amount of mild neutral cleaner can be used, but make sure to wipe them clean with water after cleaning to prevent residue of the cleaner.
2. Internal cleaning: Every 3-6 months, it is necessary to open the outer shell of the security door and use compressed air or a soft bristled brush to clean the dust inside, with a focus on cleaning the dust on components such as circuit boards, sensors, and coils. When performing internal cleaning, be sure to cut off the power first to ensure safe operation.
3. Component inspection:
Appearance inspection: Before each use or regularly inspect the appearance of the security door to see if there are any obvious damages, deformations, or cracks. Check if the connection parts of the door are secure. If there is any looseness or abnormal noise, tighten the screws or repair them in a timely manner. At the same time, check whether the indicator lights, display screens, etc. are displaying normally, and replace them in a timely manner if they are damaged.
Circuit inspection: Every six months or so, professional technicians use specialized tools to inspect the circuit system of the security checkpoint, checking for abnormal phenomena such as overheating, discoloration, and desoldering of electronic components on the circuit board, as well as damage, aging, or poor contact of wires. If any problems are found, damaged electronic components or wires should be replaced in a timely manner.
Sensor inspection: Sensors are the core components of security gates and need to be regularly checked for sensitivity and accuracy. Standard testing tools or known metal objects can be used to pass through security gates at different positions and angles to check if sensors can detect and accurately alert. If the performance of the sensor deteriorates or there are false alarms or missed alarms, the sensor should be calibrated or replaced in a timely manner.
4. Performance testing:
Sensitivity testing: Conduct sensitivity testing regularly based on the usage environment and requirements of the security checkpoint. By placing metal items of different sizes and materials in different areas of the security checkpoint, observe whether the checkpoint can accurately detect and alert. If abnormal sensitivity is found, the sensitivity parameters should be adjusted in a timely manner.
Anti interference testing: Conduct anti-interference testing in the presence of electromagnetic interference or other factors that may affect the performance of security gates in the surrounding environment. Observe whether there are false alarms or performance degradation at the security checkpoint. If any problems are found, check whether the shielding measures are in good condition.
5. Other precautions:
Environmental requirements: Maintain a dry and dust-free environment around the security checkpoint. Avoid using security doors in damp or dusty environments to avoid affecting equipment performance and lifespan.
Waterproof requirements: Except for fully rainproof security doors, other types of security doors must not be exposed to rain, and must be covered with a canopy when used outdoors.
Electromagnetic interference: Large metal objects and objects that generate magnetic fields should be avoided within 1 meter around the security checkpoint to prevent interference with its normal operation.
