The daily maintenance of metal detectors mainly includes the following aspects:
Cleaning and maintenance: The equipment should be cleaned immediately after use, and the surface of the detector, especially the probe part, can be wiped with a soft dry cloth to avoid the accumulation of dirt and debris. For conveyor belt type metal detection machines, special attention should be paid to cleaning the conveyor belt. Special conveyor belt cleaning agents can be used for cleaning, and the wear of the conveyor belt should be checked regularly.
Environmental control: Keep the temperature and humidity of the machine's working environment relatively stable, and avoid large electromagnetic interference sources such as motors, transformers, and other equipment around it. These interference sources may generate chaotic magnetic fields, affecting the normal detection signal of the metal detector, leading to false or missed detections.
• Battery management: When not in use, the switch should be placed in the "OFF" state. If the battery is not in use for a long time, it must be removed, and care should be taken to prevent battery short circuits when storing it. The voltage of the dry battery or nickel hydrogen battery placed in the battery slot should not exceed 9V, otherwise it may damage the internal components of the detector.
Mechanical component inspection: Regularly inspect mechanical components such as screws, nuts, and other connecting parts for looseness, and tighten them in a timely manner to ensure the stability of the equipment's mechanical structure. Regularly inspect and maintain mechanical transmission components to ensure their normal operation. For conveyor type metal inspection machines, it is necessary to regularly check the tension of the conveyor belt.
Electrical system inspection: Regularly inspect the wires of the electrical system for damage, aging, and other conditions, calibrate electrical parameters regularly, including adjusting parameters such as detection sensitivity and frequency.
Operating standards: Operators should try not to bring metal objects near the detection head, especially during product testing. Female employees should pay attention to tying up their long hair and try to wear work hats. At the same time, when the conveyor belt is working normally, do not put your hands into the machine.
