Handheld metal detectors have low energy consumption and can work continuously for more than 48 hours. When in normal use, the voltage is 9V. When the voltage drops to 6V, the detection distance will not change. When the battery energy is insufficient, the machine will continue to alarm. This instrument can be widely used for riot control and security checks in public places such as airports, railways, customs, and border defense.
The precautions for using handheld metal detectors include the following:
• Power on: Open the battery box on the handle of the handheld metal detector and install the matching battery. Generally, 9V stacked batteries are used to ensure that the battery voltage meets the requirements and avoid using batteries with other voltages.
• Adjust sensitivity: By using coins to detect handheld metal detectors from different angles and distances, ensure their proper functioning. If you need to exclude small volume metal objects, you can switch to low sensitivity mode.
Correct operation: When holding the metal detector, press the start button with your thumb to activate the instrument. The operator should hold the handle and scan back and forth around the subject's body. If a metal object is detected, the instrument will emit sound or vibration prompts.
• Examination site: When examining the human body, focus on checking the waist, scapula, armpits, legs, ankles, and other areas. Ensure comprehensive inspection to avoid omissions.
• Battery management: After use, press the stop button to save battery power. When the battery is low, the instrument will emit a prompt sound, and the battery should be replaced in a timely manner.
• Sound and vibration prompts: Handheld metal detectors can indicate the detection of metal objects through sound or vibration. The alarm mode can be selected through a switch.
