Maintenance and upkeep of laser velocimeter:
The laser velocimeter is installed between the rolling mill stands. During high-speed rolling, the laser velocimeter should be installed in a position that is less affected by external interference, otherwise it may cause resonance. After installation, observe the measurement trend of the instrument to ensure that the installation bracket does not vibrate or interfere with the laser velocimeter.
(1) The on-site environment of cold rolling is extremely harsh, with a large amount of emulsion used for roller cooling, which can easily interfere with the laser velocimeter. *The following protective measures must be taken:
① Install protective barriers on the laser velocimeter to prevent the spraying of emulsion.
② Install an air knife in the instrument measurement area to blow off the coolant and emulsion on the surface of the steel strip, adjust the jet flow rate and angle of the air knife in a timely manner, and prevent the emulsion from flowing along the steel strip to the laser velocimeter measurement area.
(2) During the normal rolling process, the laser velocimeter is in a sealed high temperature and high humidity environment. Therefore, high-quality cooling water and compressed air must be provided to ensure the long-term stable and reliable operation of the laser velocimeter.
① Regularly clean the cooler filter, observe the cooling water level and flow switch regularly to ensure the quality of the cooling water.
② Regularly clean the compressed air filter and observe the oil content in the compressed air to ensure the quality of the compressed air.
(3) Laser velocimeters are generally equipped with serial communication and corresponding software. If there is a problem during the use of the laser velocimeter, the software equipped with the laser velocimeter can be run on the computer to check its internal parameters and quickly identify the cause of the problem.
