Operating procedures for reverse osmosis pure water equipment
Date: 2023-12-26Read: 5
1. Reverse osmosis pure water equipment should be used at an ambient temperature between 5-38 degrees Celsius. If the temperature is below 5 degrees or above 38 degrees, corresponding measures should be taken or the operation should be stopped. During winter shutdown, be sure to pay attention to equipment insulation to prevent permanent damage caused by RO membrane freezing.
2. Before starting the device, confirm that the preprocessing system is running normally and the salt adding system can be put into use. The raw water pressure meets the requirements of the softened water equipment. Check if the power supply is functioning properly.
3. Check if all pipelines, valves, and instruments are normal. The pipelines should be unobstructed and free of cracks. The valves should operate flexibly, and the instrument indications should be correct.
4. Start the pre-treatment equipment and adjust the pre-treatment water supply to be greater than the inlet water of the reverse osmosis device. Analyze and test the inflow of reverse osmosis. Check whether the hardness meets the requirements, whether the quartz sand filter or sediment filter is working, and whether there is sediment flowing through.
5. All the above situations are normal and the conditions are met before starting the reverse osmosis equipment.
6. First, adjust the concentrated water discharge valve and the pre membrane pressure valve (some equipment does not have this valve) to the maximum water output, then manually open the low-pressure inlet pump and manual flushing valve, and observe whether there is water flowing out of the concentrated water discharge valve. After normal operation, close the manual low-pressure inlet pump and manual flushing valve.
7. Turn on the automatic/manual knob, and the reverse osmosis equipment will start according to the program. If an alarm occurs, check the corresponding protection switch to see if it is set correctly (usually not adjusted by the user at the factory). The low pressure protection is below 0.5kg pressure. If the water pressure is abnormal, please handle it first before debugging.
8. After the reverse osmosis equipment is started normally (about half a minute after normal startup), it enters the water production stage. Adjust the first and second stage bypass valves and the first and second stage concentrated water discharge valves to ensure that the ratio of water production to concentrated water discharge meets the requirements (pure water to concentrated water is approximately 1:1), and the pre membrane pressure is less than about 1MPa. The pressure difference between the front and back of the membrane is less than 0.1MPa.
9. Observe the water conductivity of the product and start collecting reverse osmosis pure water once it meets the requirements.
10. The 5um security filter intercepts particles larger than 5um in water, preventing them from entering the reverse osmosis system. This type of particle can penetrate the reverse osmosis membrane after being accelerated by a high-pressure pump. At the same time, it will scratch the impeller of the high-pressure pump. When the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet of the filter is greater than 01MPa or when it has been running for more than 3 months, the filter element must be replaced.
11. If the sediment filtration, activated carbon filtration, and resin softening tank are manually controlled, they need to be cleaned or regenerated frequently. Generally, the sediment filtration tank and activated carbon filtration tank should be cleaned every 3-6 days (some pre treated quartz sand and activated carbon are in the same tank). If the softened water effluent is not qualified, it should be regenerated in a timely manner.
12. When shutdown is required, turn the running knob to the stop position and the equipment will automatically shut down according to the program. In case of emergency, you can directly press the emergency stop button. After troubleshooting, simply rotate the emergency stop button clockwise to reset.
13. The reverse osmosis device shall not be shut down for a long time and shall operate for at least 2 hours per day. Especially during the summer, prolonged shutdown can lead to the proliferation of microorganisms inside the membrane shell, causing membrane fouling and blockage.
