As a basic experimental equipment, the ultrapure water machine requires routine maintenance to ensure its long-term stable operation. Here are the maintenance procedures for ultrapure water machines:
1、 Replace the filter
After running the ultrapure water machine for a period of time, particles and dissolved substances in the water will accumulate on the filter, resulting in a decrease in the purity of the water. Therefore, it is necessary to replace the filter regularly. The specific operation steps are as follows:
1. Turn off the ultrapure water machine and unplug the power plug;
2. Open the lid behind the ultrapure water machine and remove the old filter;
3. Install the new filter and close the lid;
4. Insert the power plug and start the ultrapure water machine, wait for 5-10 minutes until the water in the sink can flow out.
2、 Clean the sink
During each operation of the ultrapure water machine, the cleaned water is stored in the water tank. After long-term use, the inner wall of the sink is prone to sedimentation, scaling, and bacteria, which can affect the water quality. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly clean the sink. The specific operation steps are as follows:
1. Turn off the ultrapure water machine and unplug the power plug;
2. Manually empty the water in the sink;
3. Use a soft cloth to sequentially dip 20% acetic acid and 70% alcohol in the sink to dissolve and wash the inner wall and drainage outlet of the sink;
4. Wipe the sink and drain with a clean towel or glass paper;
5. Insert the power plug and start the ultrapure water machine, wait for 5-10 minutes until the water in the sink can flow out.
3、 Clean the pipeline
The water system in the ultrapure water machine includes the inlet, water storage tank, pressure pump, reverse osmosis membrane purification packing, etc. These pipelines also need to be cleaned regularly. The specific operation steps are as follows:
1. Turn off the ultrapure water machine and unplug the power plug
2. Dismantle the water inlet of the waterway system, soak it in a 1% sodium bicarbonate solution, and stir for a few minutes;
3. Dismantle the water storage tank and wipe the inner wall and lid of the tank clean with a soft cloth;
4. Disassemble the ultrafiltration device, soak it in cleaning solution for 15-20 minutes, and then rinse it with clean water;
5. After installing the water storage tank and ultrafiltration device, restart the ultrapure water machine and clean the water outlet pipeline. Specific method: After starting the ultrapure water machine, remove the cover of the pipeline head, clip the water outlet into the bucket outside the sink, and then open the water intake valve to let the water flow into the bucket. This process needs to be repeated multiple times until a certain flow of water is drained.
