SPS/DCS discharge plasma sintering furnaceIt is a pressure sintering method that uses on-off DC pulse current to directly conduct sintering. It has distinct characteristics such as fast heating rate, short sintering time, controllable microstructure, energy saving and environmental protection. It can be used to prepare metal materials, ceramic materials, composite materials, as well as nano block materials, amorphous block materials, gradient materials, etc.
Plasma is a state of matter under high temperature or specific excitation, which is the fourth state of matter besides solid, liquid, and gas. Plasma is a dissociated high-temperature conductive gas with temperatures ranging from 4000 to 10999 ℃, and its gaseous molecules and atoms are in a highly activated state.
Moreover, the ionization degree of plasma gas is very high, which makes plasma a very important material preparation and processing technology. The plasma generated by discharge includes direct current discharge, radio frequency discharge, and microwave discharge plasma.
The SPS/DCS discharge plasma sintering furnace mainly includes the following parts: axial pressure device, water-cooled punch electrode, vacuum chamber, atmosphere control system, DC pulse and cooling water, displacement measurement, temperature measurement, and safety control unit.
The main one is the on-off pulse power supply, which can generate discharge plasma, Joule heating, discharge impulse pressure, and electric field assisted diffusion effect.
The process advantages of SPS are very obvious: uniform heating, fast heating speed, low sintering temperature, short sintering time, high production efficiency, fine and uniform product structure, can maintain the natural state of raw materials, can obtain high-density materials, can sinter gradient materials and complex workpieces.
Compared with HP and HIP, SPS devices are easy to operate and do not require specialized technical proficiency. Compared with HP, SPS technology can lower the sintering temperature by 100-200 ℃.
