The pharmaceutical tablet press mold mainly consists of three parts: upper punch, middle punch, and lower punch. During operation, the powder or granular material is first filled into the holes of the middle mold, and then subjected to pressure through specific movements of upward and downward strokes to compress the material into tablets. The specific process is as follows:
1. Raw material pretreatment: Crush, mix, and granulate the raw materials that need to be made into solid preparations to ensure uniformity and fluidity.
2. Mold filling: Place the pre processed raw materials into the feeding port of the tablet press and form particles of the desired shape and size in the mold.
3. Compression process: The tablet press compresses the raw material into a solid formulation by applying high pressure, forming it into the desired shape and density in the mold.
4. Discharge of finished products: after forming, the mold releases the pressure, the solid agent is discharged from the mold, and the product is obtained after subsequent processing (such as cutting and packaging).
Precautions for using pharmaceutical tablet press molds:
1. Operating standards:
-The operator should read the user manual and operating procedures of the tablet press, familiarize themselves with its performance and the usage method of the control part.
-Strictly follow the operating procedures to avoid mold damage or tablet quality accidents caused by misoperation.
2. Mold maintenance:
-Regularly clean the surface and interior of the mold, remove particles and impurities attached to the surface, and prevent impurities from entering the gaps of the mold and affecting the quality of pressing.
-Use appropriate lubricants to lubricate the mold, reduce friction and wear, and extend the service life of the mold.
-After the compression molding is completed, the die should be removed in a timely manner, wiped clean, and coated with oil for rust prevention before use.
3. Pressure control:
-According to the formula and process requirements of the tablets, adjust the compression force reasonably to avoid excessive or insufficient pressure affecting the quality of the tablets.
-During the compression process, closely observe the pressure indication. If abnormal pressure fluctuations are found, the machine should be stopped in a timely manner to check the cause.
4. Environmental requirements:
-The tablet press should be placed in a dry, ventilated, and clean environment to avoid the influence of moisture, dust, and other factors on the quality of the mold and tablets.
-Control the temperature and humidity of the tablet pressing workshop. Generally, the temperature should be controlled between 18-25 ℃, and the relative humidity should be controlled between 45-65.
5. Safety protection:
-When operating the tablet press, personal protective equipment such as gloves and goggles should be worn to prevent accidental injury.
-Regularly check the safety devices of the tablet press, such as emergency stop buttons, protective covers, etc., to ensure their sensitivity and reliability.
