Non water soluble collagen fiber preparation process manufacturer

Collagen casing mainly uses layers from animals such as cows and pigs as raw materials, extracts non water soluble collagen fibers through physical and chemical methods, adds additives, and then undergoes mechanical molding and modification treatment to become human made casing. At present, there are two main methods for producing collagen casings. (1) Dry method refers to the direct drying and shaping of casings by hot air after mechanical molding. For example, factories in countries such as the United States, Germany, and Poland use this method. (2) Wet method refers to the process of shaping the casing through mechanical means, using a solidifying liquid to shape it, and then drying it with hot air, as seen in manufacturers in the UK and Australia.

Using cows and pigs as raw materials, a special wet process is employed to produce collagen casings with natural flavor, color, and taste, which are safe for consumption.

Cut into small pieces - soak in sodium hydroxide, soak in hydrochloric acid, wash with clean water - grind into a slurry with a colloid mill - adjust the solid content to 4% -6%.

At present, most domestic manufacturers use colloid mills produced by Guo to grind the particle size of solid-liquid mixed slurry, resulting in low extraction rate, long working time, low production efficiency, and relatively large particles. Because the equipment of the domestic colloid mill is relatively backward, the speed is generally 3000rpm, and the grinding head processing is relatively rough. Causing low grinding ability, generally used for rough grinding of materials. And Shanghai SGN has introduced core components from Germany. The SGN high shear colloid mill has a speed of up to 14000 rpm, which is 4-5 times higher than that produced by Guo. Coupled with precision grinding heads, the effect is good and the efficiency is high. In addition, SGN has developed an improved colloid mill with better grinding effect.

From the perspective of equipment, the factors that affect the grinding effect are:

1. Form of grinding head (horizontal and vertical)

Shear rate of 2 grinding heads

3. Tooth shaped structure of grinding head (see grinding head structure)

4. The residence time and emulsification dispersion time of materials on the grinding head wall

5 cycles

The definition of grinding rate is the relative velocity of the liquid layer between two surfaces.

As can be seen from the above, the grinding rate depends on the following factors:

- Linear velocity of grinding head

In this case, the distance between the two surfaces is the rotor stator spacing. (Relatively speaking)

Speed V=3.14 X D (rotor diameter) X rotational speed RPM/60

The wet colloid mill for cattle and pigs is driven by an electric motor through a belt drive, which drives the rotating teeth (or rotor) to rotate at high speed relative to the matching fixed teeth (or stator). The processed material is pressurized by its own weight or external pressure (which can be generated by a pump) to generate a downward spiral impact force. Through the adjustable gap between the fixed and rotating teeth, it is subjected to strong physical effects such as shear force, friction force, and high-frequency vibration, effectively emulsifying, dispersing, and crushing the material, achieving the effect of ultrafine crushing and emulsification of the material.

Features:

① The fixed rotor is made into a circular cone shape with three-stage serrated protrusions and grooves that gradually increase in fineness. The stator can be wirelessly adjusted to the desired distance between it and the rotor.

② The depth of the tooth row: from 2.7mm at the beginning to 0.7mm at the end, the range is relatively large, and the larger the range, the wider the particle size of the processed material.

③ The structure of the groove is inclined teeth, and the groove depth of each grinding head is different, and the volume of the flow channel of the inclined teeth is from top to bottom.

The main uses of high shear colloid mill are:

The high shear colloid mill is suitable for ultrafine grinding of wet materials in the pharmaceutical, food, chemical, and other industries. It can crush, emulsify, homogenize, and mix various semi wet and emulsion substances, and its main technical indicators have reached the advanced level of foreign products.
