Process principle of high shear dispersing emulsifier
Date: 2025-03-25Read: 6
Emulsification, dispersion, and mixing are important operational processes in industries such as chemical, food, and pharmaceutical. The high shear dispersing emulsifier is a commonly used equipment with efficient, fast, and uniform dispersing, emulsifying, and mixing capabilities.
A high shear disperser emulsifier, also known as a high shear disperser or high shear emulsifier, is a mechanical equipment composed of multiple components such as a motor, rotor, stator, pressure head, inlet light, outlet light, retaining ring, and speed controller. Its main function is to use high-speed rotating blades to forcibly shear, disperse, emulsify, and mix materials.
The high shear dispersing emulsifier has a cylindrical shape with multiple inlets and outlets, and its volume varies depending on different models.
The working principle of high shear dispersing emulsifier is based on high-speed fluid mechanics and special shear action. When materials enter the working area of the machine, they are quickly lifted between the high-speed rotating blades, and through mechanical effects such as high-speed shearing, impact, friction, etc., the materials are dispersed into small particles, allowing the chemical components to be fully mixed, achieving the effect of emulsification or dispersion.
Specifically, the working process of the high shear dispersing emulsifier is as follows:
1. When materials enter the machine, they will be attracted to the inlet light, and then a certain pressure will be formed by restoring the edge ring and pressure head.
2. After being subjected to pressure, the material will enter between the high-speed rotating rotor and stator, forming mechanical effects such as high-speed shear and impact.
3. The material continuously disperses, impacts, and rubs within the operating components, gradually transforming large particles into small particles, achieving the effect of emulsification or dispersion.
4. Finally, the material is discharged from the machine through the exit light.
