The process flow of high-speed tablet press is mainly divided into three continuous stages: filling, pressurization, and dispensing. The following are specific steps:
1. Filling stage
The drug particles enter the 33 sets of dies on the turntable through the feeding device, forcing the feeding mechanism to ensure uniform distribution of the powder. At this stage, the weight of the particles is controlled by the filling adjustment mechanism, and the particle size is usually required to not exceed 100 mesh to avoid powder flying and leakage.
2. Pressure stage
When the turntable rotates, the upper and lower punch molds move synchronously along a fixed curved track, and the dual pressure wheel system (symmetrical on both sides) applies pressure to the material to form tablets. The pressure can be adjusted through a mechanical buffering device, and the maximum pressure can reach 40kN.
3. Production stage
The compressed tablets are pushed out of the mold hole, separated from the turntable by a scraper or tablet pushing mechanism, and enter the collection system. The powder suction box synchronously recovers dust to prevent blockage and achieve raw material recovery.
