1、 Preparation before operation
1. Mold processing: Clean the inner cavity of the mold with anhydrous ethanol to ensure no residual powder or oil stains. For mosaic specific molds, check the flatness of the embedding groove.
2. Material filling: Pour the powder mixed with glass particles and adhesive into the mold cavity, gently tap the mold to evenly distribute the powder, and avoid direct contact between the particles and the cavity wall.
2、 Suppression process
1. Positioning and pressurization: Place the mold in the center of the tablet press, tighten the pressure relief valve clockwise, and fix the mold with a screw.
2. Pressure control:
Manually shake the handle or activate the hydraulic system to gradually increase the pressure to the target pressure (usually around 20MPa for glass mosaic, adjusted according to particle hardness).
The recommended compression time is 10-20 minutes to avoid damage to the mold caused by excessive pressure.
3、 Demoulding and post-processing
1. Slow pressure relief: Release the pressure relief valve counterclockwise to release pressure and avoid rapid pressure relief causing the mosaic piece to shatter.
2. Demoulding techniques:
Use a demoulding sleeve to reverse push out the sample. If the adhesion is strong, apply slight pressure to assist in demoulding, but immediately release the pressure to protect the oil cylinder.
After demolding, gently tap the edge of the mold to check the integrity of the mosaic edge.
4、 Cleaning and maintenance
1. Mold maintenance: Use fine sandpaper dipped in oil to polish the residual lumps on the inner wall of the mold and maintain the accuracy of the inlay groove.
2. Equipment inspection: Clean the worktable of the tablet press, check the sealing of the hydraulic system to prevent glass powder from entering the oil circuit.
