Operation steps of three color tablet press

1、 Equipment preparation stage
1. Cleaning and Inspection
Before use, it is necessary to thoroughly clean the worktable and mold of the tablet press to ensure that there are no residues (especially to remove cross contamination of multi-color raw materials from previous production).
Check the wear of the stamping die, and ensure the precise alignment of the layered molds for the three color plate pressing to avoid interlayer misalignment.
2. Raw material pretreatment
The raw materials for tricolor tablets need to be prepared independently by color layering, with consistent particle fineness in each layer (recommended fine powder content ≤ 10%), and screened separately to remove impurities.
If it is necessary to press engraved or irregular pieces, the mold pattern should be designed in advance and installed in place.
2、 Parameter Setting and Debugging
1. Hierarchical parameter configuration
According to the design of the three color film, set the pressure of each layer separately (usually the bottom layer has the highest pressure, the middle layer has it, and the surface layer has it the lowest to maintain clear color).
It is recommended to control the turntable speed between 14-30 revolutions per minute to ensure even layering and filling.
2. Test piece adjustment
First press the single-layer test piece, check the color distribution and hardness, then gradually stack other layers, adjust the filling depth and pressure parameters.
3、 Suppression operation process
1. Layered feeding
Feed materials in order of color: First, feed the bottom layer of raw materials and start the tablet press for initial compaction; Reintroduce intermediate raw materials and fix them with light pressure; Finally, input the surface raw materials.
After each layer of feeding, it is necessary to observe the remaining amount of the hopper to avoid uneven layering caused by material breakage.
2. Continuous suppression
Activate the fully automatic mode, and the device will sequentially complete the filling, pre pressing, main pressing, and dispensing processes.
Real time observation of tablet appearance. If color mixing or interlayer separation occurs, immediately stop the machine and adjust the pressure or filling parameters.
4、 Safety and Quality Control
1. Safety regulations
Do not touch moving parts during operation, and power off is required for debugging.
Three color film pressing requires wearing a dust mask to avoid inhaling layered raw material dust.
2. Quality inspection
Sampling inspection of interlayer adhesion (evaluated for delamination through peel testing).
Use a colorimeter to verify if the color distribution meets the design standards.
5、 Cleaning and maintenance
1. Layered cleaning
After each batch of production, the molds need to be disassembled and each layer of residual raw materials should be cleaned separately to prevent cross contamination.
Regularly lubricate the die guide rails, but use food grade lubricants to avoid contaminating the tablets.
2. Equipment maintenance
Check the turntable bearings and pressure sensors monthly to ensure the stability of layered pressing.
Attention: Strict control of the humidity and flowability differences of each layer of raw materials is required for the compression of three color films. It is recommended to operate in a constant temperature and humidity environment.
