The working principle and wide application of screw powder packaging machine

The screw powder packaging machine is an industrial equipment designed through mechatronics to achieve quantitative packaging of powder materials. Its core working principle is to use a servo motor to drive the screw to rotate and measure the material through the volume of the spiral groove. The specific workflow includes: the servo motor rotates intermittently according to a preset number of turns, pushing the powder from the hopper to the dispensing nozzle, while the positioning mechanism fixes the medicine bottle to ensure filling accuracy. The single dispensing speed can reach 300 bottles/minute. This technology has been upgraded from early stepper motor control to the third-generation system that combines servo motors and PLCs, significantly improving measurement stability and dynamic response capabilities.
It has a wide range of applications:
1. Pharmaceutical manufacturing: Powder injection packaging is a typical scenario, using stainless steel contact parts to meet GMP requirements, and improving efficiency through multi head screws (such as a four head configuration);
2. Food industry: When processing dust prone powders such as pepper powder and chili powder, three speed vibration feeding technology is used to reduce losses;
3. In the field of chemical engineering, it is suitable for adhesive liquids with viscosity ranging from 0-20000 mPa ยท s, and reduces raw material waste through the process of first pressing and then filling.
The advantages of the equipment include simple structure, no need for vacuum system, and a wide range of loading adjustment (1-999 grams), but it is slower compared to air flow packaging speed. The current technological trend has further optimized the performance of synchronous drive and variable frequency speed regulation through solutions such as Delta's automation platform.
