Possible faults and solutions for low-temperature shut-off valves:
Low temperature globe valves may experience various malfunctions during use. Today, the editor of Yonglong Valve will talk about four possible faults and solutions that may occur during the use of low-temperature globe valves:
1、 Reasons for the inflexible rotation of the handwheel of the low-temperature shut-off valve or the inability to open and close the gate plate
1. The packing is pressed too tightly
2. The packing pressure plate and packing pressure sleeve device are skewed
3. The valve stem nut is damaged
4. The thread of the valve stem nut is severely worn or broken
5. Valve stem bending
solution
1. Loosen the nuts on the packing gland appropriately
2. Correct the packing pressure plate and packing pressure sleeve
3. Disassemble and repair threads and remove dirt and debris
4. Replace the valve stem nut
5. Correct valve stem
2、 Reasons for leakage between sealing surfaces of low-temperature shut-off valves
1. There are dirt and debris adhering to the sealing surface
2. Damaged sealing surface
solution
1. Clean up the dirt and debris
2. Processing and repairing the sealing surfaces of valve seats and gate plates
3、 Reasons for leakage at the packing of low-temperature shut-off valve
1. The packing gland is not tightly pressed
2. Insufficient number of packing rings
3. The filling material becomes ineffective due to prolonged use or improper storage
solution
1. Tighten the nuts evenly and tighten the packing gland tightly
2. Increase the number of packing rings
3. Replace with new packing material
4、 Reasons for leakage at the connection between the valve body and valve cover of the low-temperature shut-off valve
1. Uneven tightening of connecting bolts
2. Damaged flange sealing surface
3. Gasket * * * or failure
solution
1. Tighten the bolts evenly
2. Reshaping the sealing surface
3. Replace the gasket with a new one
