According to Announcement No. 42 of 2024 by the State Administration for Market Regulation, the State Administration for Market Regulation has issued three special equipment safety technical specification modification forms, including the "Boiler Safety Technical Regulations (First Amendment Form)"
The "Boiler Safety Technical Regulations (First Amendment)" (TSG111-2020) will be implemented from January 1, 2025.
Text modification:
1. Modify item 1.3 (1) to:
(1) Design the normal water level water volume, based on the geometric volume of the steam water space inside the pressure bearing components of the boiler steam outlet valve (if no outlet valve is set, it shall be calculated according to the first welding joint of the outlet) at the outlet of the boiler feedwater check valve, calculated from the dimensions marked in the design drawing (excluding manufacturing tolerances and rounding. Generally, the volume of internal components fixedly connected to the boiler needs to be deducted). If the combustion system, safety device, and steam water system of the boiler are not independent of other boilers and have common parts, the boiler volume shall be calculated based on the sum of the volumes of the connected boilers
2. Revise item 10.4.1 (3) to:
The water volume of a steam boiler should be calculated and the normal water level water volume of the boiler should be indicated on the design drawing. The manufacturing unit should provide a water volume test report
From the above modifications, it can be seen that:
Firstly, the standard for defining the water volume of a single electric steam generator has been changed to geometric volume, which is calculated from the inlet of the water pump to the outlet of the steam;
Secondly, multiple inner tanks are connected to the steam generator and determined based on the total volume;
Thirdly, the manufacturing unit shall provide a water volume test report.
Fourthly, the implementation time will officially start from January 1, 2025 according to the modification order.
