An electric steam generator generally refers to an electric steam boiler that is exempt from inspection. Generally, the water inside the furnace is heated and boiled through an electric heating tube to produce steam, thereby achieving the set steam pressure requirements to meet the actual usage needs of users.
The water inside the furnace continuously evaporates during the heating process, and the minerals in the water are retained in the furnace. The concentration of water quality continues to increase, eventually forming scale that wraps around the heating element. At the same time, the inner liner will also be blocked due to scale.
In view of this, water treatment is required for electric steam generators for the following reasons:
Prevent the formation of scaleWater usually contains a large amount of impurities and minerals such as calcium, magnesium, and iron. During the operation of an electric steam generator, as the water evaporates, these impurities gradually concentrate and form scale. The thermal conductivity of scale is extremely poor, which greatly reduces the heat transfer efficiency of the electric steam generator. In order to achieve the same steam production and pressure, more electrical energy needs to be consumed, resulting in increased energy consumption.
Reduce equipment corrosionDissolved oxygen and carbon dioxide gases in water can corrode the metal components of electric steam generators. In the long run, this corrosion can lead to equipment damage and performance degradation, shortening the service life of the equipment. In addition, halogen ions in scale can also corrode the inner walls of metals at high temperatures, making the metals brittle.
Avoid pipeline blockageUntreated water may contain microorganisms and organic matter. In the high-temperature environment of steam generators, these microorganisms and organic matter may decompose, deteriorate, produce dirt and sediment, block pipelines and equipment, and affect normal operation. At the same time, suspended and colloidal substances in the water are also prone to accumulate into mud and block pipelines after entering the steam generator.
Ensure steam qualityIf there are many impurities in the water, during the process of generating steam, these impurities may enter the steam equipment together with the steam, affecting the quality of the steam. For some industries that require high steam quality, such as food, medical, etc., it may cause product quality problems.
