The process principle of organic solvent spray dryer is based on the technical system of combining efficient heat transfer with safety control, which can be divided into the following core links:
1、 Inert gas closed-loop system
The equipment uses inert gases such as nitrogen as the drying medium, constructs a fully enclosed circulation system, maintains positive system pressure through dynamic pressure regulation, and monitors oxygen concentration in real time to avoid the risk of organic solvent explosion. Circulating gas recovers heat energy through a heater, which can reduce energy consumption by 40% compared to traditional open systems.
2、 Coupling mechanism of atomization and drying
1. Droplet atomization technology
Disperse liquid materials containing organic solvents into uniform droplets of 10-200 μ m using centrifugal atomizers, pressure nozzles, or air flow atomizers, with a particle size variation coefficient (CV value) controlled within 10%.
During the atomization process, the surface area of the droplets increases significantly, achieving rapid separation of solvent and material.
2. Heat exchange process
Hot nitrogen gas comes into reverse/forward contact with atomized droplets, completing solvent evaporation within 0.5-5 seconds, and the solid particle formation rate can reach microsecond level.
The drying room adopts a uniform air distribution device to optimize the airflow distribution and avoid local overheating or uneven drying.
3、 Solvent recovery and product collection
1. Solvent condensation recovery
The evaporated solvent vapor undergoes multi-stage condensation, and the remaining inert gas is reheated and circulated after gas-liquid separation to achieve zero solvent emissions.
2. Solid gas separation technology
Dry particles are efficiently collected through cyclone separators and bag filters, and the exhaust gas is purified to meet environmental emission standards.
4、 Security control system
1. Explosion proof design
Equipped with a real-time oxygen concentration alarm module that triggers automatic nitrogen replacement in case of abnormalities, in compliance with ATEX explosion-proof certification standards.
2. Emergency response
The system can switch to emergency pressure relief mode within 0.5 seconds, synchronously starting the solvent condensation program to prevent the formation of explosive gas mixtures.
This process overcomes the problem of efficient drying of flammable and explosive solvents through the synergistic effect of inert environment control, ultra fast heat transfer mechanism, and intelligent safety protection, and is widely used in pharmaceutical, chemical and other fields.
