The precautions for using a high shear emulsifier mainly include the following aspects:
1、 Equipment preparation and inspection
1. No idling: Before starting, ensure that the material is immersed in the emulsifying head to avoid dry friction causing damage to the shaft sleeve or overheating and biting.
2. Check the status of the components: Confirm that the mixing blade/stator is securely installed, the power cord is intact, and the ground wire is reliably grounded.
3. Cleaning and disinfection: Before use, thoroughly clean the emulsifying head and container to prevent cross contamination.
2、 Operating standards
1. Gradual speed regulation: When starting, gradually increase from low speed to the target speed to avoid instantaneous high shear force damage to the material.
2. Control material addition: Add liquid first and then powder to prevent the powder from drying and causing the shaft to lock.
3. Container position: The distance between the dispersing head and the bottom of the container should be ≥ 10mm. It is recommended to place it eccentrically to promote material flipping.
3、 Safety and Maintenance
1. Prevent hard objects from entering: Avoid metal debris and other hard objects from getting caught up in the gap between the rotor and stator, causing equipment damage.
2. Temperature monitoring: High viscosity materials need to pay attention to heat dissipation to prevent local overheating from affecting sealing.
3. Regular maintenance: Clean the stator and rotor in a timely manner after use, check the wear of the shaft sleeve, and store it in a dry and ventilated place.
4、 Special material handling
1. High viscosity material: Long hole stator should be selected and the material should be fully wetted before starting.
2. Corrosive solvents: Avoid prolonged immersion during cleaning and prioritize using neutral cleaning agents.
The above precautions integrate equipment safety, operating standards, and maintenance points, which can effectively extend equipment life and ensure emulsification effect.
