Rotary granulator is a common crushing and granulation equipment widely used in industries such as chemical, metallurgical, food, and pharmaceutical.
This device crushes and granulates materials through internal rotational motion, and the feeding and discharging processes are carried out in a closed state, thus achieving dust-free operation.
The working principle of a rotary granulator mainly includes two aspects: crushing and granulation.
1. Crushing process
During the crushing process, the material first enters the interior of the rotary granulator through the feeding port. Then, due to the rotational motion inside the machine, the material is thrown onto the fixed sieve plate of the machine and ground into smaller particles under a certain force.
In this process, the crushing effect of the material is influenced by various factors, such as the properties of the material, the speed of rotation, the internal structure of the machine, and so on.
2. Granulation process
During the granulation process, the material enters the internal body of the rotary granulator through the feeding port, and then under the rotational motion inside the body, the material is subjected to certain pressure and shear force, thereby forming particles of fixed size.
The effect of granulation is influenced by various factors, such as the degree of material crushing, shape, structure, humidity, and so on. In addition, some additives can also be used to improve the granulation effect of materials during the granulation process.
The process flow of a rotary granulator can usually be divided into several stages such as crushing, mixing, granulation, sorting, and packaging.
1. Crushing
In the crushing process, it is generally necessary to first preprocess the raw materials by removing impurities, moisture, oil, etc. Then the processed raw materials are fed into the feed inlet of the rotary granulator, and after crushing, the required particles are obtained.
2. Mixed
In the mixing process, it is often necessary to mix multiple materials to achieve a certain proportion or uniformity. This step requires strict control of the mixing ratio, speed, and time to ensure the stability of the mixing effect.
3. Granulation
In the granulation process, the processed raw materials or mixed materials are granulated by a rotary granulator to form particles with a certain size and structure. This process requires controlling the degree of material crushing, humidity, structure, and the angle and speed of the internal lines of the machine.
4. Screening
In the screening process, the prepared particles are sieved through a sieve or sieve to separate out particles that meet the requirements and those that do not.
5. Packaging
In the packaging process, qualified particles are packed into packaging containers such as bags, boxes, and barrels, and then reinforced, sealed, labeled, and processed according to different needs.
