Process flow of small sugar coating machine
Date: 2025-03-12Read: 6
Sugar coated tablets are one of the common oral solid preparations, which can improve the taste and mask the medicinal flavor of the tablets, enhance the stability and efficacy of the drugs, reduce drug toxicity and irritation, and make the drugs easier for patients to absorb. In order to improve the quality of drugs and meet the needs of patients, pharmaceutical companies are constantly developing new sugar coating machine equipment. Among them, small sugar coating machine equipment is favored by pharmaceutical companies due to its small size, easy operation, and wide range of applications.
The process flow of small-scale sugar coating machine equipment mainly includes four steps: pretreatment, sugar coating preparation, drying, and packaging.
1. Pre processing
Pre treatment is the first step in sugar coating preparation, mainly involving visual inspection, selection, mixing, spraying, and other treatments of the drug. Firstly, the appearance of the medication needs to be checked for normality, foreign objects, and compliance with standards; Secondly, drugs need to be mixed in a certain proportion to ensure the accuracy of dosage; Finally, the medication needs to be sprayed to evenly coat the sugar coating material on the surface of the medication, forming a sugar coating.
2. Sugar coating preparation
Sugar coating preparation is the core process of sugar coating processing. Through continuous spraying and drying, the sugar coating raw materials are evenly coated on the surface of the drug, forming a uniform and smooth sugar coating layer. This can not only mask the bitterness of the drug, but also prevent it from deteriorating due to factors such as moisture, light, and heat. The important parameters for sugar coating preparation include sugar coating raw material formula, spraying speed, spraying distance, drying temperature, etc., and appropriate parameters need to be selected according to different drug characteristics.
3. Dry
After the sugar coating preparation is completed, the drug needs to be dried to quickly dry the sugar coating and tightly bond with the drug surface. The drying process mainly involves heating to increase the surface temperature of the drug, remove surface moisture, and form a strong barrier for the sugar coating to ensure the quality of the drug. The drying temperature needs to be well controlled. If it is too low, it will cause too long drying time and damage to the sugar coating. If it is too high, it will cause the drug to decompose and the sugar coating to deteriorate, thereby affecting the quality of the drug.
4. Packaging
The final step is the packaging of drugs, which is generally divided into two types: sticker packaging and capsule packaging. Sticker packaging is the process of packaging sugar coated tablets into medication boxes, with each tablet labeled with information such as the drug name, production date, shelf life, etc. Capsule packaging contains sugar coated tablets in capsules for easy carrying and use.
