Several common faults and solutions of GHL wet granulation machine

GHL wet granulation machine is widely used in the production of pharmaceutical granules (such as capsule and tablet raw material granules) and food granules (such as meal replacement granules and health product granules) due to its "integration of mixing and granulation" feature. The core is formed by mixing powders with a stirring blade and cutting soft materials with a granulation knife to form uniform granules. The granulation process requires precise control of parameters such as stirring speed, granulation speed, and liquid addition volume. If the equipment malfunctions, it can easily lead to uneven particle size, soft material clumping, and abnormal equipment noise, affecting product quality and production efficiency. Therefore, mastering the solutions to common faults is crucial to ensure production.
The common faults and solutions of GHL wet granulation machine are as follows:
1. Raw materials cannot enter the granulation room
Possible reasons: blockage of the conditioner, arching of the feed inlet, malfunction or blockage of the feeder transmission device. ‌
Solution: Clean the conditioner or feed inlet, check the feeder transmission device, troubleshoot and clean the material. ‌
2. Unable to squeeze out particles
Possible reasons: blocked mold holes, excessive moisture in raw materials, large gap between mold rollers, severe wear of scraper or mold rollers. ‌
Solution: Clean the mold holes, control the moisture content of the raw materials, adjust the gap between the mold rollers, and replace worn parts. ‌
3. The motor cannot start
Possible reasons: Accumulation of materials in the granulation chamber, circuit failure, and inability to trigger the travel switch. ‌
Solution: Remove the accumulated material, check the circuit, and ensure that the travel switch contacts are normal. ‌
4. Abnormal noise and vibration
Possible reasons: damaged bearings, severe wear of mold rollers, foreign objects entering the interior of the equipment, and loose spindle bearings. ‌
Solution: Replace bearings and worn parts, clean foreign objects, and tighten nuts. ‌
5. Blockage problem
Possible reasons: Wear of the deflection scraper leads to uneven material distribution, stuck pressure rollers, and high moisture content in the feed. ‌
Solution: Replace the deflection scraper, check the status of the pressure roller, and reduce the moisture content of the feed. ‌
6. Fluctuations in process parameters
Possible reasons: insufficient or unstable steam supply, uneven feeding speed, and worn deflection plate. ‌
Solution: Check the steam pipeline, adjust the feeding speed, and replace worn parts. ‌
7. Equipment overheating
Possible reasons: motor overload, poor ventilation, abnormal power supply voltage. ‌
Solution: Check the motor load, ensure good ventilation, and adjust the power supply voltage to the normal range. ‌
