Precautions for using DHG series electric constant temperature drying oven
Date: 2025-12-15Read: 16
The DHG series electric constant temperature drying oven is a commonly used equipment in laboratories, widely used for sample drying, baking, sterilization and other operations. To ensure the safe operation of equipment, extend its service life, and ensure the safety of operators, the following are key precautions during use.
1、 Preparation and inspection before use
1. Equipment inspection: Before use, carefully inspect the appearance of the drying oven to confirm that there is no damage or abnormal condition. If any damage is found, report it immediately and do not use it forcefully. At the same time, check whether the power cord, plug, socket, and fuse are intact, ensure that the power capacity is sufficient, and avoid safety accidents caused by overload.
2. Environmental preparation: Place the drying oven in a level and well ventilated indoor environment, with no flammable or explosive materials piled up around it, and the equipment casing must be effectively grounded to prevent the risk of electric shock.
3. Parameter setting: After turning on the power, set the desired temperature (SV) and time through the control panel. After initial use or prolonged disuse, it is recommended to review the error between the actual temperature and the set temperature to ensure temperature control accuracy.
2、 Operating standards during use
1. Sample placement:
The samples should be evenly placed on the shelf to avoid being too dense or overloaded, in order to maintain air circulation and prevent thermal sensor failure.
It is strictly prohibited to put flammable, explosive, volatile or corrosive items into the box to avoid causing explosions or corroding equipment.
Items should not be placed on the bottom heat dissipation plate inside the box to prevent local overheating and damage to the sample or equipment.
2. Operation monitoring:
After turning on the heating switch, the blower can be started at the same time to accelerate the discharge of moisture, but it should be noted that the blower should not run continuously for a long time and should take appropriate breaks.
When the temperature approaches the set value, the heating indicator light may flicker on and off, which is a normal phenomenon; After about 15 minutes, the temperature inside the box will enter a constant state.
To observe the sample, it can be done through the outer door and inner glass door, reducing the number of times the door is opened to maintain constant temperature stability.
3. Special treatment:
When sterilizing glassware at high temperatures, it is necessary to wait for the temperature inside the box to naturally drop to a safe range before opening the door and removing it to prevent sudden cooling and rupture.
When the set temperature is below 100 ℃, it is recommended to use a secondary heating method to avoid the phenomenon of temperature "overshoot".
3、 Maintenance and safety after use
1. Shutdown and retrieval:
After drying is completed, turn off the power switch first and wait for the equipment to completely cool to room temperature before opening the door to remove items. Wear protective equipment during operation to prevent burns.
After removing the items, promptly clean the residue inside the box and keep the workspace dry and tidy.
2. Equipment maintenance:
Regularly check whether the internal wires are damaged and ensure tight connections; When not in use for a long time, it should be covered with a dust cover and stored in a dry environment.
Record equipment usage, including time, operator, and exception notes, for easy tracking and maintenance.
3. Fault handling:
Common issues such as temperature runaway, lack of heating, or abnormal display may be caused by sensor malfunctions, damaged temperature control components, or power supply problems. Operators should be familiar with basic troubleshooting methods, such as rewiring or adjusting parameters; Complex faults require contacting professional maintenance.
