The structural principle of fully automatic softening water equipment
Date: 2024-07-24Read: 5
Fully automatic water softening equipment is a device that treats water quality by removing metal ions such as calcium and magnesium from water, reducing its hardness and improving its quality.
Hard water refers to water containing high concentrations of metal ions such as calcium and magnesium, which can cause the water to become relatively hard, leading to problems such as pipeline blockage and equipment failure. Soft water refers to water with low levels of metal ions such as calcium and magnesium after treatment. Softened water can reduce the formation of scale, prevent damage to pipelines and other equipment, and improve production efficiency.
The main principle of fully automatic water softening equipment is ion exchange. This device exchanges metal ions such as calcium and magnesium in hard water with anions such as chlorides to form sodium ions, thereby turning hard water into soft water. The equipment mainly consists of ion exchange resin tanks, automatic control systems, pipelines, and valves.
1. Ion exchange resin tank
Ion exchange resin is an adsorbent material that can have specific selectivity to adsorb specific ions in water, such as sodium ions. After pre-treatment, hard water flows into the ion exchange resin tank, where sodium ions enter the water and calcium and magnesium ions are adsorbed in the resin, thereby converting hard water into soft water.
2. Automatic control system
The automatic control system can automatically control the operation of equipment and the flow of water. The system detects data such as water flow rate, water quality, and resin usage status through sensors, thereby achieving automatic control of the equipment. When the resin is saturated with adsorbed calcium and magnesium ions, the automatic control system replaces it with a new resin to ensure the normal operation of the equipment
3. Pipelines and valves
After pre-treatment, hard water enters the ion exchange resin tank and is adsorbed by the resin, while soft water flows out. Soft water is transported through pipelines to the equipment that needs to be used, and shut-off valves, regulating valves, etc. are installed at appropriate locations for maintenance and adjustment of water flow.
