Pneumatic angle seat valve is an automated valve that uses compressed air as a power source and is controlled by an electromagnetic valve to achieve rapid opening and closing. Named after its 90 degree right angle valve body, it has the characteristics of high flow rate, fast response speed, good sealing performance, corrosion resistance, and long service life. Widely used in the fluid control field of food, beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical, water treatment and other industries, especially suitable for steam, water, gas, liquid, vacuum and other pipeline systems.
Main structure:
Valve body:Usually made of stainless steel, brass, or plastic material, with fluid channels at a 90 degree angle.
Sealing element:Generally made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) or Teflon, it is resistant to high temperatures and corrosion.
Cylinder:The driving mechanism has a piston inside.
Spring:Used for resetting single acting cylinders (normally open or normally closed type).
Solenoid valve:Control the on/off of compressed air (externally) to control the opening and closing of valves.
Working Principle:
Normally closed type:When the solenoid valve is not powered, the air circuit is closed, and the cylinder piston is at the lower end under the action of the spring, and the valve is closed. When the solenoid valve is powered on, compressed air enters the cylinder, pushing the piston to overcome the spring force and move upward, driving the valve stem to lift and the valve to open.
Normally open type:Contrary to the normally closed type. When the solenoid valve is not powered, compressed air enters the cylinder and the valve is in the open state. When the solenoid valve is powered on, the cylinder exhausts, the piston resets under the action of the spring, and the valve closes.
Double acting type:No spring, the cylinder has two air ports. By switching the air path through an electromagnetic valve, compressed air is controlled to enter from port A or B, thereby driving the piston to reciprocate and achieve the opening and closing of the valve.
Pre installation inspection:
Confirm whether the valve model and specifications (diameter, pressure, temperature) meet the pipeline requirements.
Check the inside of valves and pipelines to ensure there are no impurities or foreign objects, in order to avoid damaging the sealing surface.
Confirm that the fluid medium is compatible with the valve body and sealing material.
Installation direction:
crucial!Angle seat valves have a specified flow direction, and the valve body is usually marked with arrows indicating the direction of medium flow.It is necessary to ensure that the installation direction is consistent with the arrow directionOtherwise, it may cause the valve to fail to close properly or the seal to fail.
Installation location:
It is recommended to install the valve on a horizontal pipeline with the cylinder facing upwards, which can prevent impurities in the pipeline from accumulating at the valve seat, affecting the sealing effect and service life.
Pipeline connection:
Connect reliably according to the interface form (thread, clamp, flange) to ensure sealing and prevent leakage.
Avoid applying excessive stress or torque to the valve during connection to prevent damage to the valve body.
Gas path connection:
Connect a clean and dry compressed air source to the inlet (P port) of the solenoid valve through a gas pipe. The interface of the cylinder is controlled through an electromagnetic valve.
Ensure that the gas source pressure is within the range specified by the valve (usually 0.15-0.8 MPa).
It is recommended to install triple components (filter, pressure reducing valve, oil mist device) in the air circuit to provide clean, stable, and lubricated compressed air, significantly extending the service life of the valve.
Electrical connection:
Connect the cable of the solenoid valve correctly to the control power supply according to the wiring diagram. Please note that the voltage level (such as AC220V, DC24V) must be consistent with the identification of the solenoid valve coil.
Ensure that the wiring is secure and take waterproof and dustproof measures.
Preparation before use:
Slowly open the upstream valve, gradually pressurize the pipeline and valve, and check for leaks in the valve body and connections.
Manual testing: For models with manual operation function, the valve can be manually opened and closed by pushing and pulling the screw or handle on the top of the cylinder to check whether the action is flexible.
Normal operation:
By powering on/off the solenoid valve, the opening and closing of the valve can be automatically controlled.
Observe whether the valve operates smoothly and whether there are any abnormal noises.
Regular inspection:
Regularly check if the air source pressure is stable.
Check for leaks at all interfaces of the air and pipeline.
Listen to the sound of valve movement, and if there is any abnormality, promptly investigate.
Cylinder maintenance:
Ensure the cleanliness and dryness of compressed air, and regularly discharge the accumulated water in the filter.
If the cylinder action is slow or stuck, suitable lubricating oil can be added to the oil mist device, or a small amount of clean lubricating oil can be directly injected into the cylinder port.
Seal replacement:
When a valve experiences internal leakage, it is likely due to worn or damaged seals.
CloseFront and rear valves, releasePipeline pressure and cylinder pressure.
Disassemble the valve body according to the product manual and replace it with new seals (valve seat and O-ring). Pay attention to the installation direction and method, and do not damage the new sealing components.
Long term parking:
When the valve is not used for a long time, the front and rear valves should be closed, the medium in the pipeline should be emptied, and the valve should be kept clean and dry.
| Fault phenomenon | Possible reasons | exclusion method |
|---|---|---|
| Valve does not operate | 1. The gas source pressure is too low or not connected 2. Electromagnetic coil burnt out or wiring failure 3. Cylinder or piston stuck 4. Impurity blockage |
1. Check the gas source and adjust the pressure 2. Check the power supply and coil, replace the coil 3. Disassemble, inspect, clean or lubricate the cylinder 4. Clean the valve |
| Valve not tightly closed (internal leakage) | 1. Worn or damaged seals 2. Impurities on the valve stem or seat 3. Incorrect installation direction |
1. Replace the seal 2. Clean the inside of the valve 3. Correct installation direction |
| Slow valve action | 1. Insufficient gas source pressure 2. Blockage in the air path or excessively long or thin trachea 3. Poor lubrication of the cylinder |
1. Increase the pressure of the gas source 2. Check the air circuit and replace it with a thicker air pipe 3. Lubricate the cylinder |
| External leakage | 1. Damaged valve body sealing ring 2. Loose pipeline connections |
1. Replace the sealing ring 2. Tighten the connecting bolts or threads |
