In industries such as food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology that have strict hygiene requirements, cleanliness and safety of fluid transport pipelines are the lifeline. A sanitary check valve is a silent and crucial "one-way guard" on this lifeline, ensuring one-way flow of the medium and effectively preventing contamination, mixing, or equipment damage that may be caused by backflow.

Unlike ordinary industrial check valves, the core of sanitary check valves lies in their sanitary design. They are usually made of high-quality materials such as 30 or 316L stainless steel, with extremely low impurity precipitation rate and excellent corrosion resistance. The inner wall is polished with high precision, and the mirror like surface treatment (usually Ra ≤ 0.8 µ m) ensures that microorganisms and residues have nowhere to hide, ensuring the purity of the fluid. The connection methods such as Clamp, Butt Weld, or Threaded not only facilitate quick disassembly and assembly, but also avoid the formation of hygiene blind spots, complying with international hygiene standards such as 3-A and FDA.

Structurally, common types of sanitary check valves include swing, ball, and disc (clamp type). Among them, disc check valves are widely used due to their compact structure, low water flow resistance, and sensitive response. Its core component - the valve disc (usually a combination of silicone or EPDM sealing ring and stainless steel body), automatically opens under positive fluid pressure. Once the pressure disappears or reverse flow occurs, it quickly closes, with quiet action and minimal impact.

When choosing a sanitary check valve, the following factors should be considered comprehensively:

During installation, attention must be paid to the direction of the arrow on the valve body to ensure consistency with the expected flow direction of the fluid. Regular disassembly, cleaning, and inspection of seals for wear and fatigue of springs are necessary measures to ensure their long-term reliable operation.
