The maintenance of stainless steel gas filters should be based on their material characteristics and usage environment. The following are key methods and precautions:
1、 Daily maintenance
1. Regular cleaning
Clean the filter element at least once a month. If the gas contains high dust or corrosive components, the cycle should be shortened.
Soak the filter screen in neutral cleaner (pH 6-8) to avoid strong acid and alkali corrosion of the stainless steel surface.
After cleaning, it is necessary to thoroughly dry it to prevent moisture residue from causing oxidation.
2. Inspection and replacement
Observe whether the filter element is damaged, blocked, or deformed. When the pressure difference gauge shows twice the initial pressure difference, it needs to be cleaned or replaced.
Filter bag filters need to be checked for sealing to ensure no side leakage or detachment.
2、 Professional maintenance
1. Backwash and high-pressure cleaning
For backwashable filters (such as disc filters), the filter screen is flushed with reverse airflow or pressure water to restore filtration efficiency.
Use compressed air (0.2-0.3MPa) to blow from the air outlet surface to avoid damage to the filter material.
2. Rust prevention treatment
When exposed to corrosive gases for a long time, epoxy resin or polyurethane coating can be applied to isolate the air.
Avoid using iron tools for cleaning to prevent scratches or electrochemical corrosion.
3、 Operating standards
1. Safety monitoring
Before installation, check the sensitivity of the safety valve and pressure gauge to ensure automatic pressure relief in case of overpressure.
Monitor the pressure difference and flow rate during operation, and immediately shut down for troubleshooting in case of abnormal fluctuations.
2. Environmental control
Keep the installation environment dry and ventilated, away from high temperatures or corrosive gas sources.
Avoid direct sunlight or moisture during storage to prevent the filter material from aging.
4、 Precautions
1. Hard tools such as steel wire balls are prohibited during cleaning, and soft cloths or specialized cleaning brushes are recommended.
2. After replacing the filter element, the pressure gauge needs to be calibrated to ensure accurate data.
3. Record the pressure difference, flow rate, and other data of each maintenance to facilitate the analysis of filter life.
