What are the precautions for using a hot reflux extraction concentrator?
Date: 2025-09-16Read: 5
1. System sealing inspection
Before use, it is necessary to confirm the sealing of the extraction tank, condenser tube, and connection to prevent the leakage of volatile solvents. Regularly replace aging seals to ensure that the equipment is in a sealed state.
2. Temperature and pressure control
The water extraction temperature should be controlled at 90-100 ℃, and the alcohol extraction temperature should be 78-83 ℃ to avoid high temperature damage to the active ingredients.
The vacuum degree should be maintained at 0.05-0.08MPa, and the pressure should not exceed 0.2MPa to prevent the risk of overpressure.
3. Solvent to material ratio
The amount of solvent used should be 5-10 times that of the medicinal herbs, and the amount of material should not exceed 2/3 of the capacity of the reaction bottle.
Prioritize the use of environmentally friendly solvents (such as ethanol) and ensure their purity meets the process requirements.
4. Heating and Reflux Operation
Use water bath, oil bath or electric heating sleeve for indirect heating to avoid direct contact with open flames.
The reflux rate needs to be stable, and the vapor height should not exceed 2/3 of the condenser bulb to prevent boiling.
5. Safety protection measures
Wear protective equipment during operation to avoid contact with high-temperature components or harmful gases.
If harmful gases are released, an absorption device needs to be installed at the outlet of the condenser.
6. Equipment maintenance and cleaning
Thoroughly clean the tank and pipelines after each batch to prevent cross contamination.
Regularly inspect vulnerable parts such as mixing blades and heating rods to ensure operational stability.
7. Environmental Protection and Waste Liquid Treatment
Waste liquid needs to be classified and collected, and organic solvents are recycled through a recycling system to reduce environmental pollution.
