Colloidal mill, also known as micro grinder or ball mill, is a device that uses mechanical force to grind and disperse liquid mixtures and solid powders. It relies on mechanical effects such as friction, pressure, and shear force to reduce particle size and increase surface area, thereby improving the activity, solubility, stability, and other properties of substances. It is widely used in industries such as pharmaceuticals, pigments, food, chemicals, and coatings. Split type colloid mills are widely used in various fields such as pharmaceuticals, food, cosmetics, coatings, inks, dyes, etc. due to their advantages of high grinding accuracy, simple process flow, and excellent performance, such as sweeteners, emulsifiers, inks, lubricants, adhesives, etc.
The split colloid mill is mainly composed of components such as a water tank, a conveying pump, a grinding tank, and an electrical control box.
Process flow of split colloid mill:
After the production fluid enters the water tank, it is transported to the grinding tank by the conveying pump. In the grinding groove, the production fluid in the water tank is sandwiched between the high-speed rotating rotor and stator, and the material is subjected to high-speed rotational grinding, dispersion, and homogenization through the dispersing rod at the upper and lower joints.
The grinding principle of the split colloid mill:
When the production fluid comes into contact with the rotor and stator with high tangential velocity, high-speed shear, friction, particle collision and other effects occur, causing the particles to be subjected to sustained and very strong forces, continuously reducing their size and achieving the purpose of dispersion and fragmentation. Therefore, the split type colloid mill mainly relies on the cutting, shearing, and friction effects caused by high-speed rotation, which can reduce the particle size of the material while also improving the dispersion, stability, and quality of the product.
The split type colloidal grinding tool has the following advantages:
1. Split design makes maintenance more convenient.
2. The grinding area is made of a specially formulated alloy material, which is more wear-resistant and has a longer service life compared to other grinding equipment.
3. Both high viscosity liquids and semi-solid materials can be ground, with a wider range of applications
4. The process flow is stable, capable of simultaneous grinding and dispersion, with high efficiency.
5. The automated electronic control system has a protective effect, making the equipment operate more stably.
