The overall design of high-power stainless steel colloid mill is compact and reasonable
Date: 2025-10-28Read: 1
High power stainless steel colloid mill is a device used for fine processing of fluid materials. The parts in contact with the materials are made of high-strength stainless steel materials such as 316L/316Ti, which not only have strong corrosion resistance, but also comply with GMP/FDA hygiene standards in the food and pharmaceutical industries, ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the production process. This device can quickly complete the ultra-fine processing of materials, improving production efficiency. Meanwhile, the adjustable gap design ensures accurate and controllable particle size, meeting diverse product specification requirements.
Equipped with a split design for easy disassembly and maintenance, supporting CIP/SIP online cleaning function, greatly reducing the difficulty of cleaning; The intelligent temperature control system effectively ensures operational stability; There is also an option for variable frequency speed regulation, and users can easily adjust parameters according to their process needs. The overall design is compact and reasonable, with excellent sealing performance, reducing the risk of leakage; Stable and reliable performance, durable, and can maintain good working condition even after long-term use.
Steps for using high-power stainless steel colloid mill:
1. Preparation work
-Equipment inspection: Before use, it is necessary to check whether all components of the colloid mill are intact and undamaged, including the body, grinding disc, seals, etc. Ensure that the connection is tight and free from looseness or leakage. At the same time, confirm that the power wiring is correct and secure, with good grounding to ensure safe operation.
-Cleaning treatment: Clean the inside and outside of the equipment to remove any impurities, dust, or other pollutants that may be present, preventing them from mixing into the material and affecting product quality. Especially, it is necessary to carefully clean the surface of the grinding disc and the grinding chamber to ensure that there are no residues.
-Installation and debugging: According to the equipment manual, correctly install the corresponding accessories, such as feed pipes, discharge pipes, etc. Then conduct a no-load test run, observe the operation of the equipment, and check for any abnormal noise, vibration, or other abnormal phenomena. If there are any problems, the machine should be stopped in a timely manner for troubleshooting and resolution.

2. Parameter setting
-Speed adjustment: Adjust the speed of the colloid mill reasonably based on the characteristics of the material and the required grinding effect. Generally speaking, higher rotational speed can improve shear force and grinding efficiency, but it may also lead to material overheating or excessive refinement; Lower rotational speeds are suitable for materials with low particle size requirements or thermal sensitivity. Set the speed to the appropriate value through the speed control knob or frequency converter on the control panel.
-Gap adjustment: For colloid mills with adjustable disc gaps, the gap size needs to be determined based on factors such as material viscosity and hardness. Smaller gaps can generate stronger shear forces, but they are prone to clogging; A larger gap will result in a poorer grinding effect. You can use specialized tools or refer to the scale markings of the equipment to accurately adjust the grinding disc gap.
3. Feeding and Sampling
-Uniform feeding: Slowly and evenly feed the material to be processed into the colloid mill, avoiding blockage or overload caused by adding a large amount at once. At the same time, pay attention to controlling the flow of materials to match the processing capacity of the equipment to ensure stable operation. During the feeding process, the material can be stirred appropriately to make it more evenly enter the grinding area.
-Timed sampling: After the equipment has been running for a period of time, a small amount of samples are regularly collected from the discharge port to detect indicators such as particle size distribution, emulsification degree, and homogeneity of the product. Laser particle size analyzer, microscope and other instruments can be used for analysis to evaluate whether the grinding effect meets the expected requirements. According to the sampling results, adjust the operating parameters of the equipment in a timely manner, such as speed, clearance, etc., until satisfactory results are achieved.
4. Data recording and analysis
-Detailed recording: Throughout the entire measurement process, it is necessary to record in detail various operating parameters (such as speed, gap, material flow rate), time, and corresponding product performance indicators (such as particle size, distribution curve, emulsion stability, etc.). These data will provide important basis for subsequent process optimization and quality control.
-Comparative analysis: Compare and analyze the test results obtained under different conditions to identify the key factors and patterns that affect the grinding effect. For example, studying the relationship between rotational speed and particle size, the influence of gap size on emulsification effect, etc., in order to determine the combination of process conditions.
