Process principle of diatomaceous earth filter machine
Date: 2024-11-18Read: 4
The filtration principle of diatomaceous earth mainly relies on its own pore structure for filtration. Diatomaceous earth has a certain porosity, which not only affects the flow rate, but also has an impact on the filtered water quality. The pore size range of diatomaceous earth is relatively small, but the quantity is large. It can filter out suspended particles, bacteria, microorganisms and other substances in water layer by layer, ensuring high-quality water while effectively extending the service life of diatomaceous earth medium.
The process principle of diatomaceous earth filter mainly includes three steps: pretreatment, filtration, and recovery.
1. Preprocessing stage
Pre treatment refers to the chemical and physical treatment of raw water to achieve optimal results in diatomaceous earth filtration. The pretreatment process usually includes coagulation, precipitation, oxidation, and disinfection. Coagulation refers to adding chemicals to water to aggregate small particles into larger ones for subsequent filtration treatment. Precipitation refers to the process of settling suspended particles in water to the bottom through gravitational settling. Oxidation refers to the oxidative degradation of difficult to separate or reduce substances in water by adding oxidants to oxidize and degrade compounds that are difficult to degrade in water. Disinfection refers to the process of removing impurities, bacteria, viruses, and other weeds from water by adding disinfectants, ensuring the stability and safety of subsequent water quality.
2. Filtering stage
The filtration stage refers to the water entering the filtration layer through a diatomaceous earth filter, and the diatomaceous earth medium in the diatomaceous earth filter filters the water. The pore size of diatomaceous earth medium is between 0.02-0.03 millimeters, and channels at this scale can filter out impurities in water. After filtration, the water can be directly used as a surface water source. Static electricity and other factors on the wall of the filtering channel can also affect the efficiency of free state impurities being adsorbed by diatomaceous earth particles.
The filtration efficiency of diatomaceous earth filter is influenced by various factors, such as filtration rate, filter discharge pathway, overflow, etc. It is necessary to select the optimal treatment conditions based on the actual water properties and filter properties to achieve optimal treatment effect of diatomaceous earth filter.
3. Recycling stage
The recycling stage mainly involves recovering and storing filtered water through pipelines for use in subsequent production and daily life. Diatomaceous earth filter machines usually undergo secondary filtration and disinfection to ensure the hygiene and safety of water quality.
