The double-layer stainless steel reactor is a widely used reaction equipment in the fields of chemical, pharmaceutical, food, etc. Its working principle and core applications are as follows:
1、 Working principle
1. Structural Design
The double-layer stainless steel reactor consists of an inner reactor body and an outer jacket. The inner layer directly contacts the reactants, while the outer layer is filled with heating or cooling media (such as steam, thermal oil, or chilled water). The inner layer is usually made of 304 or 316L stainless steel material, which has strong corrosion resistance and surface polishing treatment to reduce material residue. The outer layer adjusts the temperature inside the kettle through heat exchange, and the temperature control accuracy can reach ± 1 ℃.
2. Temperature control
Rapid heating and cooling are achieved through the circulation of interlayer media. During heating, steam or thermal oil enters the interlayer, and heat is transferred to the material through the kettle wall; When cooling, chilled water or coolant absorbs heat to avoid overheating of the reaction. Some devices support vacuum operation (such as -0.095MPa) and are suitable for reactions that require negative pressure environment.
3. Mixing and Mixing
The mixing system (anchor, paddle or turbine) ensures uniform mixing of materials, with a wide range of adjustable speeds (0-1000r/min) to meet the reaction requirements of materials with different viscosities. The synergistic effect of stirring and temperature control can shorten the reaction cycle and improve efficiency.
2、 Application Fields
1. Chemical synthesis
Used for reactions such as vulcanization, nitration, polymerization, etc., especially suitable for scenarios that require precise temperature control or corrosive materials (such as chloride ion solutions). 316L material can withstand strong corrosive environments and ensure reaction safety.
2. Pharmaceutical and Food
Used in the synthesis of raw materials in pharmaceuticals and in the production of additives or pigments in the food industry. Its sanitary design complies with GMP standards to avoid metal ion contamination.
3. New material research and development
Laboratory grade small reaction vessels (starting from 5L) support small-scale experiments, while industrial grade large-scale equipment (up to 1000L) can be produced on a large scale, suitable for high temperature and high pressure conditions in the preparation of new materials.
3、 Advantages and Characteristics
1. Safety: Equipped with pressure monitoring instruments, safety valves, and sealing systems (mechanical or magnetic seals) to prevent leakage or overpressure.
2. Flexibility: Supports normal pressure, negative pressure, or high pressure operations, and interfaces can be customized (such as feed ports and sampling ports).
3. Durability: Stainless steel material is resistant to high temperatures (-20 ℃ to 150 ℃), deformation, and has a long service life.
Through the above design, the double-layer stainless steel reactor has achieved an efficient and stable reaction environment, becoming a core process equipment for multiple industries.
