Flat top discharge centrifuge is a widely used equipment in industries such as medicine and chemical engineering. It has the function of separating liquid and solid particles and is commonly used for preparing drug powders and purifying organic compounds. However, due to its complex operability, there are significant security risks involved. Today, starting from the equipment safety operation regulations, the editor will provide a detailed introduction to the safety operation methods and precautions for the upper discharge centrifuge of the flat plate.
1、 Preparation work
1. Before operation, it is necessary to wear work clothes, place fire extinguishers and first aid kits near the equipment, and turn on ventilation equipment;
2. Check whether the appearance and components of the equipment are normal, and confirm that the safety valve and overpressure protector are in normal condition;
3. Confirm that the device power is connected, but the centrifuge is in a stopped state;
4. Confirm that the centrifuge bucket has been cleaned thoroughly, placed in the designated location of the equipment, and secured in place.
2、 Operation steps
1. Open the upper cover of the device
(1) Rotate the wrench on the centrifuge cover according to the radius and lower the centrifuge cover, while holding the cover with other hands to ensure safety;
(2) If any abnormal conditions are found on the centrifuge cover, such as looseness, deformation, etc., immediately stop the operation and notify the maintenance personnel.
2. Install centrifuge tube
(1) Place the centrifuge tube on the tray and add materials that do not exceed its capacity as needed;
(2) Meanwhile, it should be noted that the centrifuge tube must be evenly balanced and the material inside the centrifuge tube must be relatively uniform;
(3) After installation, the centrifuge tube must be kept at a certain distance from the edge of the tray, otherwise it will affect the operation and safety of the centrifuge.
3. Close the upper cover of the device
After confirming the proper installation and reliable fixation of the centrifuge tube and centrifuge disk, gently pinch the edge of the centrifuge cover to ensure sealing. Then, turn the wrench down the cover plate in the specified order until it is fully compressed. The arrow on the centrifuge cover is consistent with the point on the centrifuge bucket, and then grasp the locking method of the upper cover of the centrifuge to confirm that the cover plate is locked.
4. Set centrifugal speed and centrifugal time
(1) According to actual needs, the speed and centrifugation time of the centrifuge must be set through the centrifuge's display screen;
(2) Do not allow the upper cover of the equipment to be opened during high-speed centrifugation. If any abnormal situation is found, please immediately stop the centrifugal operation and notify the maintenance personnel for inspection and repair.
5. Shut down the equipment and unload the material
(1) After the centrifuge is shut down, wait for it to completely stop rotating before turning off the power;
(2) Confirm again whether the decelerator and rotating components have completely stopped running before shutting down the centrifuge;
(3) Keep the equipment operating area quiet, gently lift the upper cover of the centrifuge to facilitate viewing of the samples inside the centrifuge tube or centrifuge disk;
(4) Remove the centrifuge tube or centrifuge disk from the tray, while avoiding splashing of materials inside the centrifuge tube or centrifuge disk;
(5) Open the discharge port and bottom valve of the device to allow residual materials to be discharged.
(6) After opening the discharge port and bottom valve, there will be a slow liquid level at the discharge port, but it will not be completely emptied. The centrifuge will definitely run empty for the last time.
(7) After unloading is completed, close the bottom valve and discharge port, clean the centrifuge bucket, and place it in the designated position.
