A decanter centrifuge is a device that separates solid-liquid mixtures through centrifugal force. In the equipment, the mixture enters the interior of the equipment through the feed pipe. Then, the centrifugal screw in the device begins to rotate at high speed, forming a high-speed rotating centrifugal field. In this field, the magnitude of centrifugal force is related to the rotational speed and equipment size.
Under the action of centrifugal force, solid-liquid mixtures will separate into two parts: solid phase and liquid phase. Among them, the liquid phase is discharged outside the machine through the discharge port, while the solid phase is discharged outside the machine through the slag remover at the other end. In this way, solid-liquid separation of the mixture is achieved.
The main parts of a decanter centrifuge include the rotating part, feeding part, discharging part, and control part.
1、 Rotating part
The rotating part is the core part of the horizontal screw centrifuge, and its structure is as follows:
•Centrifugal spiral: The centrifugal spiral is the part inside a horizontal centrifuge used for solid-liquid separation. When the device rotates, the centrifugal screw also rotates accordingly.
•Rotating shaft: The rotating shaft is the part of the centrifuge used to support the centrifugal screw, mainly bearing the corresponding force when the equipment rotates.
•Feeding tube: The feeding tube is used to introduce the mixture into the interior of the equipment for centrifugal separation.
•Discharge pipe: The discharge pipe is used to discharge the separated liquid from the equipment for subsequent processing.
•Slag discharge device: The slag discharge device is used to discharge the separated solid material outside the equipment.
2、 Feed section
The feeding part can achieve the addition of the mixture, usually including the following components:

3、 Discharge section
The discharge part is used to discharge the separated liquid phase in the equipment, including the following components:
•discharge pipe
•Discharge valve
•discharge pump
4、 Control section
The control part is mainly used to control the start, stop, and speed parameters of the centrifuge. It mainly consists of the following components:

•frequency converter
•motor
