The alcohol deposition tank is suitable for alcohol deposition in professions such as traditional Chinese medicine, oral liquids, food, health products, and chemical engineering. The alcohol deposition tank is a specialized equipment newly developed for the old process of alcohol precipitation (also known as solvent exchange or alcohol precipitation). It is primarily used for freezing or room temperature alcohol deposition of concentrated solutions of traditional Chinese medicine decoctions, and can also be used for water deposition of concentrated solutions after alcohol extraction of traditional Chinese medicine.
Below, the editor will briefly introduce the process of operating an alcohol deposition tank, as follows:
1. (1) Start: Before starting, carefully inspect the appearance and equipment to ensure they are in excellent condition.
(2) Close the inlet valve, outlet valve, and bottom ball valve, and open the top exhaust valve together.
(3) Add the formula amount into the tank according to the product process requirements and the order, and then add the concentrated Chinese medicine solution into the tank. When the liquid material in the tank reaches the desired effect, rotate the outlet to an upward position.
2. Discharge: Gradually open the supernatant discharge valve, investigate the tank liquid level and sediment orientation through the tank wall sight glass, gradually adjust the top handwheel as the liquid level decreases, and do not expose the liquid outlet. After the clear liquid is pumped out, stop the handwheel rotation to complete the discharge.
3. Slag removal: Add an appropriate amount of water into the tank, open the mixing to turn the sediment into a suspension, open the bottom ball valve to discharge the suspension, and clean it with water. Stop mixing and close the bottom ball valve.
Precautions for repairing and maintaining alcohol deposition tanks:
During major repairs, all transmission components' rolling bearings need to be replaced and butter added.
During major repairs, inspect the insulation layer and replace or repair any damaged or failed components.
3. According to the characteristics of the materials used, the general overhaul cycle for alcohol sedimentation tanks is one year.
4. The O-ring used for sealing during major repairs should be replaced from the beginning.
