Electric heating reaction tank is a reactor widely used in industries such as chemistry, pharmaceuticals, food, coatings, etc. It can perform various process operations such as high temperature, high pressure, heating and cooling.
Electric heating reaction tanks are usually composed of a tank body, heater, refrigerator, stirrer, feed inlet, discharge outlet, exhaust outlet, temperature sensor, etc. According to different process requirements and usage environments, electric heating reaction tanks can be divided into different types, such as atmospheric pressure reaction tanks, high-pressure reaction tanks, constant temperature reaction tanks, high-temperature and high-pressure reaction tanks, etc.
The process principle of electric heating reaction tank:
The electric heating reaction tank converts electrical energy into thermal energy through a heater, allowing the reactants inside the tank to reach the set temperature. Heaters usually use resistance heaters or electric heating rods, and their working principle is similar to that of electric furnaces. The power and heating temperature of the heater can be controlled by adjusting the power supply voltage and controller. Generally speaking, the heating rate and temperature rise rate should be moderate to avoid heating too quickly, which may cause the reaction process to lose control or the products to decompose.
In addition to the heater, the electric heating reaction tank also requires a refrigerator to cool the reactants inside the tank. Refrigerators generally adopt external half tube or internal jacket type, and their main function is to control the temperature inside the reaction tank, especially in high-temperature and high-pressure reaction processes.
The agitator plays a crucial role in the electric heating reaction process. A stirrer can thoroughly mix the reactants, thereby accelerating the reaction rate. The form and speed of the mixer should be adjusted according to the characteristics of the reactants and reaction conditions.
The feed inlet is the entry point for reactants into the reaction tank, usually equipped with a seal to ensure no leakage. The discharge port is the outlet for taking out the reaction product from the reaction tank and should also be equipped with a seal to prevent product leakage. The exhaust port is used to discharge gas or steam from the reaction tank to ensure the normal progress of the reaction process.
The temperature sensor is used to monitor the temperature inside the reaction tank. Common temperature sensors include thermocouples, thermistors, infrared thermometers, etc. Accurate temperature control is crucial for the success of the reaction.
