Vasoactive drugs play a crucial role in the treatment of critically ill patients, requiring accuracy, safety, and effectiveness. Health grade explosion-proof drug pumps can accurately, quantitatively, uniformly, and continuously pump drugs into the body, and are widely used in clinical practice, especially in the use of vasoactive drugs. They play an important role due to their advantages of intuitiveness, simplicity, easy promotion, and easy teaching.
Precautions for using vasoactive drugs in sanitary explosion-proof liquid pumps:
1. Timely and rapid replacement of medication
Vasoactive drugs should be continuously maintained with a micro pump. When using around 5mL or 10mL, the next set of liquid should be prepared and replaced in a timely manner. Due to the possible decrease in thrust of the micro pump when pushing liquids below 5mL or 10mL, it may affect the pumping speed of the medication. When replacing, the action should be fast. When using the fast forward button, consideration should be given to the properties of the medication to avoid blindly using the fast forward button, in order to avoid injecting too much medication and causing adverse consequences.
2. Close or open the water in a timely manner
When replacing, remember to clamp the water stop of the extension tube, and the position where the water stop is closed should be as upward as possible, close to the junction between the extension tube and the syringe. The thrust of the micro pump slide seat that holds the syringe should not be too strong to avoid excessive liquid entering the extension tube. Open the water promptly after replacing the pipe. When the extension tube or deep vein indwelling tube is twisted, or the water stop is forgotten to release and a micro pump blockage alarm occurs, the connection between the extension tube and the indwelling tube should be disconnected first, and the water stop should be opened to release too much medication to prevent excessive medication from being pumped into the blood vessel.
3. Deep vein catheterization injection
The concentration of drugs administered by micro pumps is relatively high, especially when using vasoconstrictors and irritants, which can easily lead to phlebitis and venous sclerosis. Deep vein catheterization should be chosen for injection to avoid simultaneous infusion, medication pushing, and blood drawing.
4. Strengthen inspections
Strengthen inspections during micro pump infusion, promptly identify the cause when an alarm occurs, and take corresponding measures. Each micro pump should be labeled with the drug name and concentration to avoid confusion. Observe medication reactions and adjust dosage in a timely manner according to the condition. When two types of micro pump drugs are simultaneously administered through a three-way valve from the same vein, attention should be paid to contraindications of drug compatibility and comparable speed. When there is a significant difference in speed, the faster route may experience excessive pushing pressure, which can affect or hinder the pumping of the slower route's medication. When the speed of the micro pump is too slow<1mL/h, it is easy to cause venous return and obstruction. The medication can be diluted 1-2 times and the pushing speed can be increased to 1-2 times.
