Working mode of microwave chemical reactor
Date: 2023-11-16Read: 4
The microwave chemical reactor WBFY-201 is a type of electromagnetic wave with a very short wavelength. Like radio waves, infrared radiation, and visible light, it belongs to electromagnetic waves. The frequency range of microwaves is from 300MHz to 300KMHz, which means the wavelength ranges from 1 millimeter to 1 meter.
Working mode of microwave chemical reactor:
1、 Dry matter baking: Wet dry matter (such as silicone tube dehumidification) can be directly placed in a glass turntable and spread flat for baking. After the work is completed, it is necessary to wait for the glass turntable to cool down before cleaning or placing it in water to prevent the turntable from exploding.
2、 Sealing experiment: Considering the safety of microwave ovens and operators, it is necessary to pay attention to the following points:
1. It is known that the reaction will produce gas and cannot be used for sealing experiments;
2. The sealing tube must be made of pressure resistant 95 material glass; The amount of reaction materials must be strictly controlled.
3. Place the sealed tube in a plastic microwave box and then place it on a glass turntable to activate the reactor.
3、 Liquid phase or liquid/solid phase chemical reaction: First, remove the glass turntable and rotating ring.
1. If the amount of reactants is small and stirring is not necessary, a 50ml or 100ml flask can be used. Place the polytetrafluoroethylene tray in the center of the furnace bottom, then insert the direct tube from the furnace through the cutoff waveguide into the flask, and arrange a suitable reflux device above the furnace top.
4、 Solid phase chemical reaction: flexibly arrange the reactor and working mode according to the reaction needs, but must follow the following principles;
1. The reaction that produces gases, especially corrosive and irritating gases, can easily cause damage to circuits and computer boards. A reflux device should be installed and drawn out of the furnace through a conduit.
2. The dielectric constant and dielectric loss of reactants and products are different, and there will be differences in microwave absorption in the microwave field. Local temperature differences often occur during the reaction for a period of time. Therefore, solid-phase reactions often need to be stirred, shaken, and selected at a lower power level during the process to make the reaction as uniform as possible.
3. Any chemical reaction in a microwave reactor is not allowed to be carried out in an open container, let alone in a closed container. Because the former can cause splashing and contamination of the chamber; The latter poses a risk of explosion.
