In a chemical production area adjacent to hills in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province, a set of XAZG100/1000 pressure filtration devices is continuously operating, processing the key material at the end of the production process - a mixed slurry containing barium carbonate and ammonium bicarbonate (ammonium bicarbonate).

In the process of chemical synthesis or subsequent treatment, barium carbonate and ammonium bicarbonate often exist in the form of precipitation or crystallization in the mother liquor, forming a suspension slurry with relatively special physical properties. Barium carbonate has a fine texture, while ammonium bicarbonate is prone to decomposition at higher temperatures. Therefore, the separation and treatment of them not only require efficiency, but also need to take into account the chemical stability of the materials, in order to achieve the recovery of valuable components and the reduction of waste.
The plunger pump provides the feeding power for this pressure filtration system. Faced with chemical slurries with high solid content and certain wear resistance, plunger pumps are known for their ability to generate stable and strong pushing pressure. It can effectively overcome pipeline resistance and evenly and continuously inject viscous mixtures into independent filtration units inside the filter press.
When the slurry fills the filter chamber under high pressure, the substantial solid-liquid separation process begins. The mechanical pressure applied by the equipment continuously acts on the mixed material, forcing the liquid components to pass through the filter cloth with specific precision and flow into the collection manifold. The solid particles of barium carbonate and ammonium bicarbonate that are intercepted are continuously compacted and dehydrated in the filter chamber, gradually forming a tightly structured filter cake.
After a complete filtration cycle, the equipment automatically opens, and it can be observed that the plate-like filter cake falls off the surface of the filter cloth neatly. The moisture content of these filter cakes has been effectively controlled, with a solid texture that greatly facilitates subsequent collection, transportation, or possible resource utilization. At the same time, the separated filtrate also becomes clear and can be introduced into different recycling or processing systems based on its specific components, achieving material classification management and resource recycling.
In Mianyang, a city with a solid industrial foundation and a focus on the coordinated development of technology and environmental protection, the cleanliness and resource utilization of chemical production processes are increasingly valued. This type of pressure filtration and dehydration practice for specific chemical mixtures may seem like a link at the end of the production chain, but it actually improves the material utilization rate of the entire process and reduces the disposal load of industrial waste. It provides practical technological support for local industrial enterprises to achieve greener and more sustainable production models through a pragmatic technological path.
