Explosion proof chiller is an enhanced explosion-proof safety performance based on conventional chiller refrigeration, which can meet industrial cooling needs and avoid safety risks caused by sparks, high temperatures, etc.

1、 Working principle of explosion-proof chiller

(1) Basic refrigeration cycle process

The refrigeration core of explosion-proof chillers followsThe cycle logic of compression condensation throttling evaporation. Firstly, the compressor compresses the low-temperature and low-pressure gaseous refrigerant into a high-temperature and high-pressure gaseous state; Subsequently, the high-temperature and high-pressure refrigerant enters the condenser and releases heat through air or water cooling, condensing into a medium temperature and high-pressure liquid state; Next, the liquid refrigerant is depressurized through a throttle valve and converted into a low-temperature and low-pressure gas-liquid mixture; Finally, the gas-liquid mixture enters the evaporator and undergoes heat exchange with the medium that needs to be cooled. The refrigerant absorbs heat and vaporizes back to the compressor, completing the cycle. At the same time, the temperature of the cooling medium is reduced and transported to the equipment or process that needs to be cooled.

(2) Explosion proof safety core design

Explosion proof performance is achieved through multi-dimensional structure and component design. One is the explosion-proof shell design, where core components such as compressors and motors are equipped with explosion-proof shells. The shells can withstand the impact of sparks and arcs that may occur inside, preventing flame leakage and ignition of external flammable and explosive media; The second is explosion-proof electrical components, all electrical components are of explosion-proof grade compatible models to avoid the risk of electrical sparks caused by electrical faults; The third is to strengthen sealing protection. Corrosion resistant and aging resistant sealing components are used at pipeline interfaces, valves, and other parts to reduce refrigerant or cooling medium leakage. At the same time, explosion-proof sealing structures are used at the gaps of the shell to prevent flammable gases from entering the interior of the equipment; The fourth is temperature and pressure monitoring, which is equipped with multiple sets of sensors to monitor the real-time operating temperature and system pressure of the equipment. If it exceeds the time limit, it will immediately trigger shutdown and alarm to avoid safety hazards caused by high temperature or high pressure.
