free-form surface
Caligo accurately captures free-form surfaces.
A complete solution for free-form surfaces and more applications.
CALIGO is a new software for freeform surface inspection, which has made the measurement of body parts easier and faster than ever before. The new software architecture provides you with an efficient tool for analyzing measurements, batch measurements, simulations, and generating reports. The successor of HOLOS
CALIGO is an alternative product to HOLOS software. Transitioning from HOLOS to CALIGO is simple: measurement programs written in HOLOS can be easily imported into CALIGO. In addition, CALIGO can also be seamlessly integrated into Zeiss' existing software product line, as it mainly targets the measurement of free-form surfaces and is mainly aimed at users in the field of vehicle body manufacturing. By using CALIGO, users can easily obtain solutions for measuring regular geometric features, just like measuring free-form surfaces. CALIGO is easy to operate, with short training time and powerful data processing capabilities. Additionally, some of its new features help simplify the quality control process.
New software technology
Zeiss applied newer software development techniques in the CALIGO development process. For example, by adopting a modular system architecture, flexibility to adapt to future needs has been achieved. By optimizing available system resources, CALIGO can obtain and process large amounts of measurement data faster, with a simple user interface that allows users to intuitively use the measurement software. This shortens the adaptation time, allowing users to adapt to this new software faster and better.
Change Management
The change management function in CALIGO can greatly improve efficiency: the feature list in the quality inspection plan can be imported into CALIGO and directly saved as a measurement program. If the feature list changes, its synchronization function ensures that users can intuitively compare with existing measurement programs. Each change will be displayed to the user, who can decide whether to accept or make further changes. This feature ensures that users can quickly and flexibly respond to changes in the measurement program, and integrate the modified items into the measurement program in a timely manner.
simulation
The simulation function of CALIGO provides users with rich tools to analyze the measurement program before actual operation begins: the measurement operation will be displayed in the form of virtual animation in the CAD window. Functions such as collision control, movement path tracking, and collision area detection help users optimize the program and discover and resolve errors. By using CALIGO, comprehensive simulations can be conducted on various cantilever measuring machines and dual arm online systems. The EagleEye optical probe is also considered. Therefore, the EagleEye system can also achieve offline simulation in CALIGO.
Safe Space
CALIGO can automatically generate movement paths to avoid collisions with workpieces. CALIGO generates different paths for different features. In addition, the new "path entrance/path exit" navigation function has also been integrated into CALIGO, which ensures that users plan safe paths to enter and exit the internal space of the workpiece. The system can also be quickly programmed and reliably measured for specific features or new features in the complete measurement program.
Evaluation and Reporting
CALIGO can generate CAD measurement results represented by colored legends, or mark the results in the measurement program. These views can be integrated into the measurement report. CALIGO comes with a standard template library for quick report output. CALIGO's integration module can help users design reports and templates according to the company's standards.
Option CALIGODMIS
The CALIGO option allows you to create, edit, save, and run DMIS measurement programs. The process of DMIS measurement program is similar to the standard CALIGO measurement program.
