A typical robot measurement station consists of the following components: compensation targets for robot calibration and temperature compensation, pipeline packages suitable for robot optical 3D sensor cable paths, and measurement station controllers that can communicate with all ancillary systems and production line PLCs. Depending on the number of measurement points and the required production cycle time, one to four robots can be used, each equipped with an optical sensor. The flexibility provided by robot measurement stations is mainly used for mixed line production of multiple different types of products, or when there may be a need to change and expand the measurement scheme in the future.
