Preparation of test specimens
1. The specimen size is 76mm × 13mm × 13mm, with a cutting error of ± 1mm, and the surface is required to be flat and smooth. Prepare 3 sets of specimens for each specimen, with 24 pieces per set.
2. Cut the specimen 0.6mm away from the longitudinal end of the wood, and cut the wood that is less than 1m long from the middle to both sides.
3. Cut two layers of 13mm × 13mm test piece parallel to the thickness direction from the upper and lower sides of the wood width, and then cut 76mm along the length direction of the test piece. The remaining central part is not sampled.
4. Before the experiment, the specimen must be kept at a constant mass under the conditions of a temperature of 23 ± 2 º C and a relative humidity of (50 ± 5)%. The judgment condition is that the interval is 24 hours, and the mass change of the two weighings before and after each group is not more than 1%.
Flame retardant wood combustion test device (wood stack method)Test steps
1. Weigh each set of specimens after state adjustment to the nearest 0.1g.
2. Arrange a group of specimens in a cross shape on the specimen support, with two specimens per layer and a spacing of 25mm, for a total of 12 layers. Place the first layer at the lower part of the specimen support and arrange them neatly.
3. Turn on the power, connect the reset button, and move the local light to the ignition position.
4. Turn on the gas, adjust the needle valve, press the ignition switch, ignite the burner, and adjust the needle valve to make the flame height about 250mm.
5. Press the run button to move the BenSheng lamp to the center under the flame protection cover, adjust the mixture to reach a temperature of 310 º C ± 10 º C at the top opening of the protection cover. Press the exit button to return the BenSheng lamp to its original position.
6. Place the bracket with the test piece on the circular bracket, open the observation window of the flame protection cover, rotate it to the center position of the flame protection cover, close the observation window, press the run button, move the BenSheng lamp to the lower end of the test piece to ignite, count down for 3 minutes, and the BenSheng lamp will automatically retract. Start the countdown and immediately observe the burning of the flame. If the burning flame goes out, press the stop button to stop the timer and record the burning time of the flame.
8. If the flame burning time is less than or equal to 6 minutes, it is qualified; if it is greater than 6 minutes, it is unqualified.
9. After the flame combustion and ignition are completed, remove the test piece and allow it to cool to room temperature. Then, place a set of test pieces, including the falling objects, into a weighing plate and weigh them accurately to 0.1g.
Criteria for determining the combustion performance of flame-retardant wood
After testing, its combustion quality loss rate is less than or equal to60% of wood with a flame burning time of less than or equal to 6 minutes can be classified as flame-retardant wood.
