Freeze dried microspheres refer to tiny spherical entities formed by dispersing or adsorbing drugs in a polymer matrix, with particle sizes generally ranging from 1-250 μ m. Freeze dried microsphere technology - liquid reagents are pre frozen into a solid state by liquid nitrogen, and then dehydrated in a vacuum low-temperature environment through a freeze dryer to form high-quality and stable freeze-dried balls.
Freeze dried microsphere technology can maximize the activity of enzymes/proteins, and freeze-dried microspheres have a loose network structure, rapid reconstitution, and can be transported and stored at room temperature for a long time. Due to its significant advantages mentioned above, freeze-dried microspheres have become an ideal choice for diagnostic reagents in IVD enterprises.
The application of freeze-dried microsphere technology is mainly in three major fields: biochemical diagnosis, immunological diagnosis, and molecular diagnosis.
Biochemical diagnosis: Biochemical products are used in a detection system consisting of a biochemical analyzer, biochemical reagents, and calibration standards, and are placed in hospital laboratories and physical examination centers for routine biochemical examinations.
Immunodiagnosis: including chemiluminescence, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, colloidal gold, immunoturbidimetry and latex projects in biochemistry, special protein analyzer, etc. Chemiluminescence analyzer is a product that combines reagents, instruments, and analytical methods in one. The freeze-drying of protein molecules, microfluidic chip detection, and microbial freeze-drying are mainly used for diagnosing tumors, thyroid function, hormones, infectious diseases, and other projects.
Molecular diagnosis: refers to the application of molecular biology techniques to detect structural proteins, enzymes, antigens, antibodies, and various immune active molecules related to diseases, as well as the genes encoding these molecules. At present, molecular diagnostics have been widely used in fields such as virus detection, genetic disease detection, tumor detection, animal disease diagnosis, food safety testing, environmental sample testing, plant breeding, and forensic identification.
