Before leaving the factory, peristaltic pump hoses must undergo strict testing and inspection. These specially customized silicone hoses for peristaltic pumps have significant differences from ordinary silicone hoses, mainly manifested in the purity, tear resistance, tensile performance, rebound performance, and tolerance control of pump tube size of silicone.
There are many inexpensive silicone tubes on the market that are not actually specialized peristaltic pump silicone tubes. These silicone tubes are usually made of domestically produced silicone raw materials, which have a very high purity and impurity ratio. Therefore, when these tubes are placed for a long time, they will turn white and become ineffective. The flow rate of the peristaltic pump is largely influenced by the peristaltic pump tube, so the peristaltic pump has very high requirements for the inner diameter and wall thickness of the peristaltic pump silicone tube, and the size error requirement is usually up to 5%. So ordinary silicone tubing can only be used for general purposes, and specialized peristaltic pump hoses are required for the pump tubing used in peristaltic pumps.
1. Determine the appropriate hose material for the fluid being transported
Select the pump tube based on the required flow rate and the driver.
Factors affecting hose performance: hose resilience determines suction, strength determines pressure, aperture determines flow rate, wall thickness determines pump efficiency and outlet pressure.
Immersion testing in pump tube material selection:
For the transportation of certain liquids, especially special liquids such as organic solvents, a soaking test is usually conducted before selecting hose materials.
